Concert and Music Video Choreography
Bringing musical visions to life through movement. Whether it is a large-scale live concert or an intimate music video, I craft choreography that captures the energy, tells a story, and makes every frame count.
The full stage view of the 'Indradhanush' concert for Amit Trivedi. My role was to design the entire visual flow, ensuring the dancers and singers moved as one cohesive unit to create a rich, theatrical experience for the audience.
A high-energy moment from a live show, capturing the artists in their element amidst smoke and spotlights. My choreography aims to amplify the performer's energy and connect them with the crowd.

About Concert & Music Video Choreography
Choreographing for camera versus stage requires completely different techniques. On a live stage like the Nesco concerts, I focus on expansive, clear formations that play to the back row, whereas for music videos, I drill down into tight camera blocking and specific hook steps designed to look sharp in a 16:9 or 9:16 frame.
My Approach to Performance
For me, choreography is never just about adding steps to a beat. It is about shaping the mood of the entire performance. Whether I am working with an artist like Amit Trivedi for a massive live set or directing a music video, the goal is to make the performance feel lived-in and authentic.
Concert Creative Direction
When designing for live concerts, I consider the technical environment first. This means working with lighting cues, prop integration, and stage space. I storyboard the entire performance to ensure the energy flows naturally, keeping the performers in sync with the band and the audience. We handle the full spectrum, from casting professional dancers to running intensive tech rehearsals where we iron out the transitions so the final show is seamless.
On-Screen Movement
Music videos demand a different kind of precision. My focus here is on the camera angle. I choreograph routines that flatter the artist, using specific camera blocking to ensure the movement stays within the frame. We create signature hook steps that are visually catchy and repeatable, making them ideal for viral potential. My process includes:
- Storyboarding: Designing the visual arc of the performance before we hit the set.
- Artist Coaching: Private sessions to ensure the lead talent is comfortable and confident while moving.
- On-Set Direction: Being present during filming to guide the flow, manage the dancers, and ensure the choreography reads perfectly on screen.
If you have a project in mind, let’s talk about how to translate your vision into a compelling, high-energy performance.
