About Manch: The Annual Student Showcase

Manch is more than a dance recital, it is a two-month intensive program where we take you from studio rehearsals to a full auditorium production. You will learn stagecraft, costume coordination, and how to project your energy to an audience of hundreds, moving well beyond basic class routines.

The training for Manch is rigorous, designed to bridge the gap between hobbyist and performer. Over eight weeks, we cover 16 to 20 hours of instruction, focusing on medley choreography that blends multiple songs, transitions, and complex formations.

We do not just teach you the steps. We work on the 'how' of performance, which includes stage blocking, lighting cues, and how to handle props under spotlights. My students come from our Bandra, Powai, and Versova studios, and for this project, they become a single cohesive cast.

Why this matters for your growth:

  • Technique Integration: We take the foundations from our regular Bollywood and Fusion batches and apply them to high-pressure stage scenarios.
  • Performance Psychology: You learn how to deal with stage fright and keep your energy high even during long medleys.
  • Professional Exposure: By the time we do the final run-through at a professional venue like St. Andrews Auditorium, you know exactly what is expected of you in a pro production environment.

This is a commitment, but it is also the fastest way to see yourself grow as a dancer. You get a professional video recording of the final show, which is a great way to track your progress and celebrate your hard work. Whether you are aiming to join our next cycle or just curious about what goes into a stage performance, get in touch to see if you are ready to step into the spotlight.
