About Manch: The Annual Student Showcase
Joining the Manch program isn't just about showing up for a class. It is a two-month intensive commitment where we move from studio rehearsals to full-blown stage tech sessions. Expect rigorous training, extra weekend practices as the show date approaches, and a lot of teamwork to get those formations perfect for the final performance.
Manch is the heartbeat of Tarang Studio. It is not just a dance show, but a full-scale production that we build from the ground up with our students. When you join a Manch batch, you aren't just learning a routine; you are stepping into a two-month journey that includes professional stagecraft, formation training, and performance techniques.
The Manch Journey
Every year, we take our students to professional venues like St. Andrews Auditorium. The experience includes:
- Intensive Training: 16+ sessions of focused choreography, building stamina, and learning how to hold the stage.
- Stagecraft: We teach you more than steps. You learn about spacing, facing, and how to command an audience.
- Community: The 'Manch family' is real. You will spend weeks training alongside peers, creating a bond that extends beyond the studio walls.
What to Expect
The commitment is real. As the show date nears, rehearsals get more intense with extra hours on weekends to ensure the lights, sound, and our movements are perfectly synced. While the training fees are fixed, keep in mind that costumes, makeup, and prop costs are handled separately as part of your personal production needs. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced dancer, Manch is your chance to trade the studio floor for the bright lights and experience the rush of a live performance.
Tarang Studio
We don't just teach you steps; we prepare you for the spotlight. Manch is the culmination of all that sweat, laughter, and hard work we put in during our training sessions, transforming our students from practice-room dancers to full-blown performers.
