Educational & Institutional Campus Design & Master Planning
We design academic campuses as integrated ecosystems, balancing resilient infrastructure, athletic facilities, and human-centric pedestrian zones to support holistic learning.

About this collection
An effective campus master plan requires more than building placement; it demands a strategic analysis of site constraints like soil topography and seismic activity. Whether we are planning for expansive 150-acre grounds or dense urban institutions, our approach prioritizes vehicle-free movement corridors and the seamless integration of sports facilities to ensure the physical environment actively supports, rather than restricts, academic and extracurricular life.
Our practice treats educational campuses as living organisms. In projects like the UNACCO School in Manipur, we navigated the complexities of seismic zone 5 and challenging soil conditions to create a 150-acre resilient complex. This project necessitated a thoughtful zoning strategy that separates private residential zones from public-facing hockey parks, all connected through a vehicle-free pedestrian network. We believe the architecture of learning spaces extends beyond the classroom walls. Our master planning focuses on functional ecology, where greenery acts as a buffer against urban noise while fostering micro-climates conducive to focus and social interaction. For urban projects like the New Baldwin International School, we reimagined barren playgrounds into high-performance multi-user game areas, maximizing spatial efficiency without compromising the professional standards of the athletic facilities. Our methodology involves rigorous case studies of seminal works, such as the IIM Bangalore campus, to evaluate how light, shadow, and heavy mass surfaces influence user comfort. We provide end-to-end master planning, from the initial analysis of contour maps and vegetation to detailed GFC drawings for gateways, amphitheaters, and sports infrastructure. By prioritizing traffic logic and social connectivity, we craft environments that remain relevant and functional for generations of students.
