Supervised Open Water Swimming in Juhu
The ocean is not a pool, but you can master it. My training combines structured pool-to-sea transitions with professional safety escorts, ensuring you focus on endurance and stroke technique without the fear.
You will always be safe under the watchful eyes of Team ILS. Our lifeguards on paddleboards constantly monitor the swimmers, ensuring help is always at hand.
If it does not challenge you, it does not change you. Here, swimmers train in a line, escorted by a lifeguard on a stand-up paddleboard for maximum safety.
An early morning swim during a beautiful sunrise, with a paddleboard escort keeping a close watch. We provide a safe environment for you to define and work towards your goals.
We do not just swim; we learn the technicalities. In this briefing, I am explaining crucial safety protocols like how to enter and exit the sea, tackle waves, and use a swimming buoy.
About Your Safety is Our Priority
The ocean isn't a pool, and it shouldn't be treated like one. We don't just jump in; we start by teaching you how to enter, exit, and handle currents while our team stays within arm's reach on kayaks and paddleboards. You will learn to use swimming buoys and sight effectively, turning that initial panic into a controlled, confident rhythm.
Mind Over Water
Open water swimming requires a different mental approach than pool swimming. The water is unpredictable, the currents shift, and there are no walls to hold onto. Most people quit because their mind panics before their body gives out. My job is to train your brain to stay calm when the sea gets wild. We focus on breathing, sighting, and maintaining your stroke even when the conditions are challenging.
The Safety Protocol
I do not compromise on safety. Every sea session at Juhu Beach is supported by trained eyes from the Indian Lifesaving Society (ILS). We use:
- Escort Support: Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards remain within arm's reach of swimmers.
- Clear Boundaries: We operate within marked buoy zones to ensure you stay in safe, manageable water.
- Trained Lifesavers: Professional lifesavers are always on standby to intervene if needed.
Your Progression
We start with the fundamentals. If you are new to the ocean, we begin with pool-to-sea transitions. You will learn front breathing for sighting, bilateral breathing for balance, and how to spot buoys without breaking your rhythm. Once you master the technique in the pool, we take it to the Juhu coastline to practice real-world applications. It is tough, you will swallow some salt water, and it demands consistency. But if you are committed, the transformation is worth it.
