About Multi-Tier & Grand Celebration Cakes
When you're planning a multi-tier cake, the internal structure is everything. I don’t use those industrial premixes that result in a dry sponge. I bake my own dense mud cakes or sturdy eggless sponges from scratch, specifically to handle the weight of tiers and gravity-defying designs without collapsing. It’s extra work for me in the kitchen, but it’s the only way I can ensure your centerpiece stays perfect and tastes as good as it looks.
Making a multi-tier cake isn't just about stacking layers—it's structural engineering. Whether you want a spinning rainbow cake for a 5th birthday or a detailed retirement cake with 2D fondant cutouts, I use food-safe dowels and heavy-duty drum boards to ensure everything stays stable from the moment I deliver it until you cut it.
Why I Bake From Scratch
There is no industrial premix in my kitchen. Ever. For grand celebrations, the quality of the sponge is even more critical because the cake has to support its own weight. When you order a multi-tier design, you aren't just paying for the decoration; you are paying for a high-density, freshly baked base that holds its shape and tastes rich.
Customization & Themes
- Personal Touches: Whether it's a family silhouette for a 60th birthday or a specific theme like 'Friends' or 'Mermaid,' I love adding the little details. You bring the story, and I’ll translate it into fondant or cream.
- Structural Elements: If you have an illusion cake or a gravity-defying design in mind, let me know early. These require specific base densities to hold the structure.
- Eggless Promise: All my cakes are 100% eggless, so everyone at your event can enjoy a slice.
Important Details for Big Orders
Because I hand-sculpt figures and construct these tiers by hand, I can only take a limited number of orders. If you are planning a wedding, a milestone birthday, or a grand anniversary, please reach out as soon as you have a date. Weekends fill up very quickly, and I want to make sure I have enough time to give your cake the attention it deserves.
