Professional Tabla Artist Portraits
You will usually find me on a stage or in a baithak, lost in the rhythm of the tabla. These studio portraits offer a quiet glimpse of the person behind the instrument, often used for event flyers and concert programs.
A professional portrait taken by a friend. It had been a long time since I did a photoshoot, and it was a nice change of pace from the live performance setting.
A thoughtful moment during a studio photoshoot. This image captures the quiet concentration that is just as much a part of my musical practice as the energetic performance.
A relaxed portrait with my tabla. This photo reflects my calm and approachable nature, which I hope comes through in my music and collaborations.
Another shot from the same studio session. The focused expression here reflects the dedication and years of practice that go into mastering the art of the tabla.
A smiling portrait with my tabla. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my music, and this photo captures the joy that playing brings me.
A pensive look during my photoshoot. Music is a deeply reflective art form, and this image captures that introspective side of my personality as an artist.
A calm and composed studio portrait. This image presents a formal side to my artistic persona, suitable for concert programs and professional profiles.
About Studio Portraits
I rarely take time off for photoshoots, as I prefer being in the moment with my instrument. However, having clear, professional images is essential for event planners and hosts who want to share a sense of the artist's character before the performance even begins.
For years, my focus has been entirely on the music, the Ragas, and the connection with the audience. In the world of Hindustani classical music, where concert announcements and event posters set the tone, having the right image matters. These photos capture the same focus and calm I bring to my performance, whether I am playing at an auditorium in Bengaluru or a private baithak at your home.
These portraits are intended for organisers, festival curators, and students who need a high-quality visual representation for their event promotions or artist profiles. While these images were a rare change of pace from my usual work, the music remains my primary language. I bring this same level of attention to detail to every event, ensuring that my performance aligns with the dignity and beauty of our musical tradition.

I am Trilochan, and my world revolves around the tabla. While I am happiest on stage, these portraits are a look at the person behind the music. It is a pleasure to share these with you.
