About Kalaripayattu: Traditional Indian Martial Arts
Kalaripayattu is not just a performance art. When you train with me, we don't just mimic the fluid movements you see on stage. We use them to build functional flexibility and core stability. It is demanding, it requires patience, and it will challenge your body in ways a standard gym workout never will.
Many people look at Kalaripayattu and see only the acrobatics. They miss the foundation. This is the mother of all martial arts, and I use it to build a base for my students. We start with 'Meypayattu' (body exercises) to open up your joints and improve your range of motion. This is essential, whether you are an athlete or someone working a desk job in Gurgaon or Noida.
Why train Kalaripayattu with me?
- Weaponry & Defense: Once you master the body control, we move to traditional weapons like the 'Kettukari' (bamboo staff). It teaches you distance, timing, and precision.
