The Fighter’s Mindset: Building Discipline at Tiger Tongue
I don't just teach you to throw a punch. I teach you to find the strength to face yourself. At Tiger Tongue, we build discipline, resilience, and a mindset that wins, no matter the odds.
You have a choice: stay put or chase your goals. I made my choice, and I teach my students to make theirs every single day.
We train with the best. This is Coach Kishore, an Indian professional boxer, demonstrating the dedication and work ethic we instill in all our members.
My mission goes beyond the gym. Here I am speaking to students at Tenbroeck Academy, demonstrating boxing techniques and inspiring the next generation to be strong.
My journey is proof that your biggest opponent is yourself. I use my experience overcoming adversity to teach every student how to build a fighter's mindset.
About Our Philosophy: The Fighter's Mindset
You have a choice: stay put or chase your goals. I made mine, and now I run a gym that doesn't do 'easy.' At Tiger Tongue, we strip away the fluff to focus on raw combat skills and mental conditioning. If you’re ready to put in the work—whether it’s boxing basics or intense Muay Thai—this is where you start.
This isn't a gym for people looking to scroll on their phones between sets. We don't have air conditioning, we don't have fancy memberships, and we don't give out participation trophies. We have heavy bags, mats, and coaches who know what it takes to get in the ring.
Why the Fighter's Mindset Matters
I built this philosophy because I know exactly what it feels like to be held back. After a life-changing accident, I didn't quit; I went on to represent India at the Cybathlon and become a silver medalist. Every session I run at our Hegde Nagar facility is rooted in that experience. We teach kids and adults how to handle pressure, how to stay disciplined, and how to understand that your biggest opponent is always the voice in your head telling you to quit.
Our Training Approach
We focus on practical combat sports—Boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA.
- Raw Conditioning: We use functional tools like tires, ropes, and agility ladders. We build bodies that work, not just bodies that look good.
- Technical Integrity: Whether you are in our youth boxing classes or training in 1-on-1 private sessions, we emphasize stance, guard, and footwork mechanics. You master the basics before you move to sparring.
- Controlled Sparring: We never throw beginners into the fire. Sparring is strictly controlled, supervised, and introduced only once you have the technical foundation to keep yourself and your partner safe.
If you are ready to stop making excuses and start building real strength, come down to the gym. We are waiting for the people who are ready to put in the work.
