About Our Studio & Philosophy
This isn't just a retail shop; it’s where we handle the technical side of your wardrobe—measurements, fitting trials, and fabric selection—in a quiet room designed to remove the stress of decision-making. When you come to our Parel studio, you aren't just placing an order, you are walking through the patterns and fabric swatches that will eventually become your garment.
We believe the process of tailoring should be as thoughtful as the final stitch. When we moved into our Parel warehouse space, our goal with Pill Design Studio was to transform it into a sanctuary from Mumbai's rush.
We wanted a space where you could sit with a coffee, listen to some jazz, and actually see the craft in action. Our studio is an open workshop, which means you might see our master embroiderers at work on a frame or watch us hand-cutting patterns while you wait. We intentionally keep the environment calm because it helps us focus on the 30+ measurements we take for every client.
From the hanging greenery to the careful lighting, every element here is designed to help you relax. Whether you are coming in for your first-ever bespoke suit or you are a regular looking to discuss your next linen shirt, this is where we have our consultations. We prefer to work by appointment so that when you arrive, we can give you our full attention without any interruptions.
