Holistic Yoga & Wellness for Life
Yoga is not just exercise; it is how you live every day. From physical strength to your mindset, discover how we weave traditional wisdom into modern family life.
Tell me, do you often get a cold, cough, or feel unwell? Many people fall sick repeatedly. The first rule in spirituality is to *apne aap ko pehchano* (know yourself). Understand that every body is unique. Instead of fearing foods like ice cream, learn to eat them mindfully. Let it melt in your mouth, mix with saliva, and then swallow. Follow it with a glass of water. This way, you build strength and don't have to live in fear.
If you are struggling with hair fall, I have a holistic solution. Internally, start your day with soaked charoli seeds. Externally, massage a warm blend of neem, bhringraj, and coconut oil into your scalp once a week. Also, practice reverse combing on dry hair to boost circulation and reduce breakage. This is a natural way to care for your hair.
I believe in sharing the wisdom of Yoga on every platform. Here I am delivering the keynote address on “The Fundamental Essence of Yoga” at the 8th DAE National Yoga Conference, organized by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). It was an honor to be the Chief Guest and share insights on leading a healthy, disease-free life.
For my sisters dealing with PCOD, Yoga offers gentle yet powerful support. Poses like Supta Bhadrasana (Reclining Bound Angle Pose), Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose, and Shavasana (Corpse Pose) help improve pelvic circulation, balance hormones, and reduce stress. This is a natural way to reconnect with your body and find relief.
Your body gives you clues about your health every day, and your poop is a very important one. In this video, I explain what different types of stool say about your digestion and dosha balance, from dry and hard to sticky or watery. Understanding these signs helps you make better dietary choices for a happy, healthy gut.
Quick fixes only cover up discomfort, but true healing transforms it from the root. Any problem that isn't healed at its source will return in new shapes and forms. I teach you to sit with your struggle, understand it, and move through it with awareness for lasting wellness.
It fills my heart with joy to see the transformations in the women who join our classes. Listen to them share their experiences in their own words. From finding relief from chronic pain like slip disc to building willpower and discovering the peace of a Sattvic lifestyle, their journeys are a testament to the power of Yoga.
Mera ek mantra hamesha yaad rakhiye: Challenge hi aapko life mein champion banayega. (Always remember my one mantra: It is the challenge that will make you a champion in life). Don't give up or blame others when things get hard. Learn from your mistakes and build your character. This is the path to true success.
About Featured
Forget 'getting fit' in a generic sense. At our Santacruz campus, we focus on the four pillars of health—ahar (food), vihar (recreation), achar (habits), and vichar (thoughts). Whether you are struggling with chronic stress, PCOD, or just looking to build a consistent routine, we help you fix the root cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms.
Our Approach to Householder Yoga
We are not a gym. The Yoga Institute, founded in 1918 by Shri Yogendraji, practices 'Householder Yoga'. This means we adapt to you, not the other way around. Our Santacruz campus offers naturally ventilated, non-AC halls because we believe in lung capacity building and natural, grounded healing.
How We Support Your Health
- Physical Wellness: We use traditional Hatha Yoga and Sukshma Vyayama to help with chronic back pain, digestion, and mobility.
- Women’s Health: We provide specialized support for PCOD, hormonal balance, and stress relief through targeted asanas and breathing techniques.
- Mental & Emotional Strength: We teach you to stop viewing life's challenges as obstacles. Through pranayama and guided introspection, we help you build the character to face life calmly.
- Sattvik Nutrition: We do not believe in impossible, restrictive diets. We guide you on what to eat and how to eat it—like learning to chew mindfully or swapping habits for better digestion.
