Never touched a drill? No sweat. Spend a day at our Horamavu studio learning to use 5 essential power tools, and walk out with a custom furniture piece you built yourself.

A mentor guiding a participant on the circular saw. We're right there with you, making sure you learn safely and effectively. Our goal is to build your confidence so you can tackle any project.

From drilling and sanding to the final assembly, see what participants create in a single day. Everyone starts with the same raw materials but leaves with a unique piece they designed themselves.

"I really wanted to actually figure out how to drill things straight." We get it. Our beginner workshop is designed for exactly that, starting from zero and building your skills one step at a time.

Getting comfortable with the mitre saw is a game changer. This tool makes cutting precise angles simple and safe. We'll show you how to use it to get clean, accurate cuts for your project.

A quick look at some of the power tools you'll get hands-on with, including the jigsaw for curved cuts and the router for smooth edges. This is where you learn to shape wood just the way you want.

Hear from a participant who joined our workshop to get started in furniture design. It's a great place to learn the nitty-gritty of power tools and bring your ideas to life.

Check out this awesome headphone and phone stand made in our DIY workshop. It's a perfect example of a practical, custom project you can design and build in just one day.

A participant uses a mitre saw to make precise cuts for a custom shelf. The final piece, with a beautiful burnt finish, shows how you can personalize your project.

What does our DIY Power Tooling workshop cover? Everything you need to get started: planning your design, measuring, cutting with various saws, and assembling your final piece.

The final touches are just as important. Here, a participant uses a power sander to get a smooth, professional finish on her handmade pine wood box.

About DIY Power Tooling: Your First Project

You don't need any prior experience to get started. We dedicate the first part of the day to safety and power tool basics, ensuring you are comfortable handling a mitre saw, jigsaw, and drill. By the time you start your project, be it a shelf, stool, or organizer, you will have the confidence to build it from scratch in Pine.

Why DIY Woodworking Matters

Making stuff isn't just about the final object, it is about the connection you build with your tools and your craft. At The Workshop, we believe creation is the missing pillar of self-development. Whether you are 13 or 70, our Horamavu studio is a place to get your hands dirty, learn a new skill, and maybe make a few mistakes safely.

What You Will Learn

In our full-day intensive (10 AM to 5 PM), you move beyond theory. We guide you through the essentials:

  • Safety First: Mandatory induction on tool operation and workshop protocols.
  • Tooling Up: Get hands-on with industrial-grade equipment including mitre saws, jigsaws, circular saws, drill presses, and orbital sanders.
  • The Build: You design and construct your own Pine wood furniture piece. You don't just watch; you cut, sand, nail, and varnish it yourself.

Why Start Here?

If you have never touched a drill, this is the perfect, low-pressure environment to begin. We provide all the gear—safety goggles, ear protection, and dust masks—along with the materials. You leave the session with a tangible, functional item like a bedside stool or desk shelf. It is not about turning pro overnight; it is about that feeling when you say, 'Hey, I made this!'

Ready to Build?

Our workshops are designed for everyone, from complete noobs to those who want a refresher. Grab a spot, bring your enthusiasm, and let's get making. 🔨⚡
