Private DIY Workshop Experiences for Teams, Families & Groups
Skip the boring team lunches and standard outings. Whether you are a corporate squad looking for a creative refresh, a family wanting to build something real, or a couple planning a unique date, we host custom, hands-on sessions at our Horamavu space. Get your hands dirty, build something together, and take it home.
We hosted the Google Cloud team for a hands-on keychain making session. This wasn't just about woodworking; it was about people connecting and creating together, away from their desks.
When a couple makes together, they do their own thing. We offer custom one-on-one experiences for couples to learn and build side-by-side. A perfect creative date.
A special request for a Father-Daughter woodworking experience. We loved the energy and the beautiful shelf they built together. We can create custom experiences for any occasion.
Robin Hood of THE Workshop. A member shows off the bow he crafted himself. If you have a passion project in mind, our space and tools are here for you to bring it to life.
The jigsaw eats an aged barrel for breakfast. Our crew had some fun upcycling old whiskey barrels into new furniture pieces. This is the kind of creative exploration that happens here.
This handcrafted bar trolley, made from old Paul John whisky barrels for the Four Seasons, came back for a repolish. It's a great example of the high-quality, custom commercial projects we can build.
About Private Events: Teams, Families & Custom Builds
When you book a private session, it is not a passive workshop where you just watch and learn. We sit down with you beforehand to plan a specific project—whether it is custom keychains for your office team, a solid stool for your home, or a piece you have had in mind. You get the whole makerspace to yourselves, full access to our professional wood and metal tools, and one-on-one guidance to ensure your group walks out with something you actually made.
Why a Private Workshop?
Real connection happens when you are working on a shared problem. We have hosted teams from Google and families looking to reconnect, and the vibe is always the same: people switch off their phones, pick up a tool, and start making. It is the best way to get a team to communicate or to spend quality time with the people who matter.
How It Works
- Project Selection: You tell us what you want to achieve. If you are a team, we can do batch projects like branded keychains or desk organizers. If it is for a family or a couple, we help you pick a furniture piece or a carving project that fits your skill level.
- Tools & Safety: You do not need experience. We provide a full safety induction and then get you straight onto the machines—mitre saws, drills, jigsaws, or specialized carving tools. We are there to guide, not just supervise.
- The Space: Our Horamavu makerspace is fully equipped for woodworking, metalworking, and carving. When you book a private event, our tools become your tools for the day.
Popular Private Session Ideas
- Corporate Team Building: A focused 3-4 hour session where the goal is collaboration. We have run successful key-chain sessions and collaborative furniture builds.
- Couples' Creative Dates: One-on-one sessions where you build side-by-side. It is a different way to spend an evening in Bengaluru.
- Father-Daughter/Parent-Child Builds: We have hosted weekend sessions for parents and kids to build a shelf or a small stool. It is a great way to pass on the 'maker' mindset.
No experience is required. If you have a group or a specific project idea, drop us a message. We will sort the materials and the tools; you just bring your enthusiasm.
The Workshop
We are THE Workshop, a space in Horamavu built for the joy of making. We believe the best team outings and family days are the ones where you actually create something, not just sit through a presentation. We are here to help you get your hands dirty and make it happen.
