Every tool needs timely tuning. Keeping our equipment in top shape is crucial so every maker, from beginner to pro, gets the best results. Here's a look at our team maintaining a chessboard project.
Makers be making. A member works on carving a small wooden van. Our memberships are open if you already know how to use tools and just need a space to create.
What does it mean to DIY? It means deciding it's yours. It's the process of taking an idea and making it real, whether you're working with wood or metal.
Members vibing and making things happen. The workshop is a space for practice and creation.
A participant works on his self-designed side table during a DIY workshop. The space is filled with inspiration from past projects and works in progress.
Once you've attended a workshop, the best way to improve is to come back and practice. We offer flexible memberships so you can continue your maker journey.

About A Look Inside THE Workshop
Walk in, and you will not find a sterile classroom. You will see sawdust on the floor, Japanese Zetsaw blades waiting for use, and members actively tackling projects, from simple kitchen shelves to complex metal welding jobs. We believe the magic happens when you stop planning and start drilling. Whether you are here to master a mitre saw or just want a space to build your next side project, our Horamavu facility is set up for you to get your hands dirty and learn by doing.
What You Will Find Here
Our makerspace in Horamavu is built around one simple philosophy: love THE process. We have moved away from the classroom model to create a functional workshop where the tools are for you to use.
- Power Tool Area: This is where we run our DIY woodworking workshops. You get hands-on access to mitre saws, jigsaws, drill presses, and orbital sanders. We do not just show you how they work, we supervise you while you use them on your own pine or teak projects.
- Hand Tool Station: For those who want to slow down, we have dedicated space for Japanese joinery. Here, you learn the muscle memory of using chisels, hand planes, and Zetsaws. It is meditative, precise, and rewarding.
- Metalworking Zone: We have a specific area set up for welding and metal fabrication. If you have a metal project in mind, this is where you fire it up.
Membership vs. Workshops
If you are a complete beginner, we recommend starting with one of our weekend DIY workshops. We guide you through safety and the basics, and you take home a finished project.
If you already know your way around a drill, we offer flexible memberships. This gives you direct access to the machines and the space, allowing you to use our inventory of tools to build whatever you have sketched out on paper. We are open to anyone who respects the equipment and is ready to put in the work.
Why Horamavu?
We wanted a space that felt accessible. We are not tucked away in a sterile business park. This is a local hub for makers in Bangalore, from hobbyists to design students, all sharing the same space and the same 'happy buzz' that comes from creating something from scratch.
The Workshop
We are a team obsessed with the process of making things. We built this space in Horamavu because we believe creation is a fundamental skill, not just a hobby. Come by to meet the crew, get a tour, or pick up a tool.
