Featured Storytelling Events & Highlights
Step into a world where stories come alive through music, craft, and pure excitement. See a glimpse of the joy, learning, and 'bachha energy' we create in every session.
This is what pure joy looks like! A room full of excited children and parents during our Christmas storytelling event, completely absorbed in the magic of the moment. These interactive sessions are designed to be a shared experience, creating lasting memories for the whole family.
It's not just about listening to stories; it's about creating them too. Here, I'm guiding children as they make their own clay Ganeshas during our 'Ganpati ki Gaathayein' workshop. This hands-on activity helps them connect with the story on a deeper, more personal level.
The library came alive with the beats of Africa! This is a clip from our session with guest storyteller Bongiswa, who brought incredible energy with her drum and traditional folktales. We love hosting guest artists to give children a window into different cultures through stories.
This is the ultimate goal: a child completely lost in the world of a book. In our library, we create a cozy and encouraging environment where children can explore thousands of titles and find stories that speak directly to them, fostering a lifelong love for reading.
Taking the magic of stories beyond our library walls is a core part of my mission. This was a wonderful outreach session in Jaipur, where I had the chance to interact with a large group of school children. Seeing their bright, engaged faces makes every effort worthwhile.
Meet some of our proud Bookyardigans! In our book club, children don't just read; they discuss, debate, and share their unique perspectives. This picture captures the pride and accomplishment they feel after completing and discussing their books together in an offline session.
From a small collection of books in my apartment to a community of thousands of readers, it has been an incredible 14-year journey. In this video, I share a little bit of my heart and the story of how this dream became a reality, all thanks to the support of our wonderful members.
We bring ancient tales to life using props, music, and puppets, just like in our Shree Ram Katha session. Using these handmade puppets helps make the characters and their stories more tangible and memorable for the children, turning an epic tale into an interactive experience.
About Featured
Forget passive listening. Every session here is built on 'bachha energy'—where kids are not just listeners, but co-creators. Whether it is drumming with guest artists, hand-molding clay Ganeshas, or acting out scenes from the Ramayan, these events are designed to make stories tangible, interactive, and messy in the best way possible.
At The Treasure Trove, we believe storytelling is an active sport, not a quiet chore. We have spent 14 years turning a humble collection of 400 books into a community hub where children find their voice.
Why Our Events Are Different
- Active Participation: We don't just read; we build. From 'Build Your Own Santa' crafts to clay Ganesha workshops, every story is paired with a hands-on activity that helps kids process what they've heard.
- Global Perspectives: We love breaking barriers. Hosting guest artists like Bongiswa from South Africa allows children to experience African folktales, drumming, and dance, connecting them to cultures far beyond Gurgaon.
- Themed Immersion: We bring festivals to life. During our Ganpati and Christmas sessions, the library transforms into a space where kids learn traditions through role-play, props, and genuine curiosity rather than just lectures.
- Small & Cozy: We keep our cohorts limited to 15-25 children. This ensures that every child, whether they are quiet or boisterous, gets the space to ask questions, share their thoughts, and feel part of the 'Bookyardigans' squad.
Whether it is an outreach session at a school or a quiet afternoon in our Sector 50 library, our goal is the same: to ignite that spark of curiosity that lasts a lifetime. If you are looking for an environment where your child feels heard and excited about the next chapter, come visit us.
