Interactive Storytelling Sessions That Bring Books to Life
We turn reading into an adventure. From puppets to acting out scenes, our sessions help children build confidence, ask curious questions, and truly fall in love with stories.
"Would you like to eat Gol Guppas?" Our yummilicious story session brings the joy of traditional Indian chaat to life, helping children connect with our culture and relive our childhood memories.
Our library is designed to be a happy, engaging space. With colorful murals and comfy bean bags, children have plenty of room to relax and listen during our story sessions.
The children are completely captivated during our "Gol Gappa" story session. We encourage them to gather close, ask questions, and be a part of the narrative.
After the story, it's time for a fun activity. Here, the children are busy with a coloring exercise related to our Gol Gappa story, helping reinforce what they've learned.
Look at those curious faces. We love it when children get fully involved, asking questions and interacting with the storyteller and each other during our reading programs.
A wide view of our storytelling area, showing how we create a comfortable and immersive environment for children to enjoy stories.
Posing with props after a fun story session. We believe in making learning memorable and joyful for every child.
We even host live author sessions. Here, children are enjoying an interactive session with author Kanav Agnihotri for his book 'Super Sharkaru', connecting directly with the creator of the story.
Two friends sharing a book is a common and heartwarming sight at our library. We encourage peer reading and learning, which helps build both literacy and social skills.
Our reading program includes many different activities. From reading aloud and making crafts inspired by books like 'The Snail and the Whale' to writing their own book reviews, we cover it all.
About Interactive Storytelling & Reading Fun
During our storytelling sessions, we don't just read the words on the page. We use puppets, voice modulation, and props to make characters jump off the page. If your child is usually shy, these sessions are a safe, inclusive space where they can open up, act out scenes, and engage with other kids without the pressure of a 'perfect' performance.
We don't believe in reading as a static, silent activity. At The Reading Room, our storytelling sessions are designed to pull children into the narrative. It is an immersive, screen-free experience where we use hand puppets, costumes, and even interactive sound effects to bring classic and contemporary stories to life.
We structure these sessions to go beyond just listening. After the story, we jump into vocabulary games on the blackboard, interactive book reviews, or themed art projects. For example, our 'Gol Gappa' session did not just tell a story; it connected kids to their cultural roots through food, memory, and group discussion. This hands-on approach helps children process what they have heard, encouraging them to articulate their thoughts and build confidence.
Whether it is a group reading session or an author meet-and-greet like our event with Kanav Agnihotri, the goal is the same: to create a community where books are not chores but friends. We keep groups intimate so every child has space to participate, act out scenes, or share their own perspective. It is about building a reading habit through curiosity, not pressure.
The Reading Room
We founded The Reading Room because we wanted a cozy spot where books win over screens every time. We are a gang of little thinkers, using puppets, drama, and pure fun to make sure your child leaves with a smile and a love for reading.
