15 Years of Stories and Shared Journeys
What started in my flat with 400 books has grown into a community of 25,000+ stories. This is the heart behind The Treasure Trove—my journey of raising readers, one page at a time.
Celebrating 15 years of The Treasure Trove! This journey would not have been possible without our readers and their parents. This video is a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of our story.
Sometimes, a book finds you. While organizing our Hindi section, I found a beautiful poem that I just had to share. It’s these little discoveries that fill my days with so much joy.
About My Journey & Love for Books
Every book on these shelves has a story, not just in its pages, but in how it got here. From our very first 400 books to the massive collection we have today, this space was built on the belief that reading is a bond. If you visit our Sector 50 library, you might find me or my team organizing the Hindi section or picking out new arrivals—it's these small moments of discovery that keep the love for reading alive for everyone who walks through our doors.
When I started The Treasure Trove in 2010, it was just me, an engineer with a passion for books, and a single apartment filled with 400 titles. There was no grand business plan, just a simple dream to share the stories that shaped me. As the saying goes, 'Log saath aate gaye aur karwaan banta gaya' (People kept joining, and the caravan kept growing).
Over the last 15 years, that apartment library transformed into a bustling hub. We now house over 25,000 books and 2,000 toys, but the numbers aren't what make me proud. It’s the children who walk in shyly and leave wanting to discuss their next adventure. It’s the parents who tell me that their child finally reached for a book instead of a screen.
We don't believe in shushing kids here. We believe in the messiness of learning—the scattered puzzles, the floor seating, and the excited chatter during our Bookyardigans sessions. Whether you are looking to rent books in Gurgaon, join our online library, or participate in our interactive storytelling workshops, know that this isn't just a service. It is a living, breathing community.
If you're nearby in Sector 50, come drop by. Let’s browse the shelves together, find a book that speaks to you, or just share a story.
