Building Character and Community Through Martial Arts
We are a school, not just a gym. After 26 years of training in Koramangala, we have built a space where discipline and respect matter as much as the technique itself.
This handmade banner, created by a student's family, showcases the diverse disciplines that form our curriculum, including Boxing, Kickboxing, MMA, BJJ, and Muay Thai. It represents the strong community support that is central to our school's ethos.
About this collection
That banner you see in the photos was handmade by a student's family, which says more about us than any brochure could. We are a school where parents help with setups and students celebrate each other's wins, whether it is a first stripe or a state-level medal. It is this shared sense of ownership that makes the tough training sessions feel manageable and rewarding.
At The School of Martial Arts, we believe that the sport is only as strong as the community behind it. Over the last 26 years, we have trained thousands of individuals, from hobbyists looking to stay fit to competitive fighters aiming for state and national medals. Our approach is grounded in the reality that martial arts training, whether it is Boxing, MMA, or Muay Thai, is mentally demanding. Having a supportive environment is what keeps our students coming back.
We operate primarily out of the St. Francis School grounds in Koramangala. By training in an open-air environment, we stay connected to our roots and keep the training accessible. Our curriculum is formal and structured, designed to teach you more than just how to throw a punch. You will learn the mechanics of judging, refereeing, and the vital importance of safety gear, which is why we emphasize proper equipment and technique from day one.
We value discipline, respect, and consistency. Our students range from young professionals to senior citizens, all training with the same core philosophy. Whether you join our women-exclusive boxing batch or our open-age MMA classes, you are joining a group that prioritizes safety and growth. We are not interested in flashiness; we are interested in building a foundation of confidence that you can carry out of the ring and into your daily life. If you are looking for a place where you will be pushed to improve but also supported every step of the way, you have found it.
The School of Martial Arts
I am Ashwin, and after 26 years of teaching, I can tell you that the strongest technique you will learn here is respect. We are a school, not just a fitness center, and our doors are open to anyone who wants to train hard and be part of a community that actually cares.
