I turn reading into an adventure. From mythology sessions to creative book reviews, my workshops help children fall in love with books and stay away from screens.

What is the true joy, winning or participating? At this event, we celebrated participation as children dressed up as their favorite book characters and brought them to life. It was a day of fun and learning.

Snippets from our Maa Durga workshop, where we shared the story of Mahishasur, did a fun art activity, and ended with a phoolon ka havan. All the children were gifted a Durga storybook to take home.

To celebrate Mahashivratri, I am hosting my most loved Shiva workshop for young kids. It's a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about our culture in a fun and interactive way.

Here I am inviting everyone to my curated book stall at the Diwali Mela. Events like these are a great chance for you to browse my collection of books and DIY kits in person.

Glimpses from our pop-up stall at a Rakhi and Teej exhibition. I love meeting parents and helping them find the perfect books for their children, whether for gifting or for their own library.

It was lovely to see so many happy faces browsing the books at our stall. My activity-based learning books were a crowd favorite with both moms and kids.

Customers carefully browsing the collection at one of our pop-up stalls. I make sure to have a wide variety of books so there is something for every age and interest.

Here I am helping a customer choose the right book for her child. I love having these one-on-one conversations and giving personalized recommendations based on a child's reading level and interests.

Interacting with customers at an outdoor pop-up event is one of my favorite things to do. It's a great way to understand what parents are looking for and share my passion for children's literature.

About Interactive Workshops & Storytelling

Instead of just reading, I use props, art activities, and conversation to make stories stick. Whether we are diving into Indian mythology or reviewing a favorite book, my goal is to spark that moment where kids actually want to think, create, and share their own ideas. No pressure, just play.

Why Storytelling Workshops Work

It is not just about reading books—it is about engagement. When I narrate a story, I am not just reciting text. We discuss characters, imagine different endings, and even act out scenes. My workshops create a space where bacchon (kids) can express themselves without the pressure of a classroom setting.

What We Do

My sessions are designed to be tactile and immersive, catering to different interests and age groups:

  • Mythology & Culture: In sessions like our Maa Durga or Mahashivratri workshops, we combine storytelling with related art activities. It helps kids connect with our culture in a fun, hands-on way.
  • Creative Writing & Book Reviews: For older children, we tackle series like Geronimo Stilton. We review, critique, and make reading a social experience. This helps build confidence and vocabulary.
  • Hands-On Activities: Every workshop includes a physical element, whether it is 3D monument-making or themed doodle art, to keep the energy high and keep little hands busy.

Moving Beyond Screens

Many parents tell me they struggle with screen time. The secret to switching their focus is simple: follow their curiosity. If they love space, we find space stories. If they love art, we start there. I work with children aged 1 to 14, tailoring the complexity of the sessions so that every child feels involved and excited. By the end of a session, my hope is that they leave with a new story to tell and a desire to pick up their next book.

I am Ruchika, and I started Chronicles Room because I saw how stories lit up my own son's imagination. My workshops are not about rote learning or finishing a syllabus; they are about giving kids a safe, fun space to be themselves, ask questions, and build a genuine bond with books.
