Children's Library & Reading Programs
The Reading Room
We run a children’s library where kids read, play games, do crafts, join drama workshops, and take part in holiday camps, all in a screen-free space designed for learning through fun.

About
I’ve set up a space where books are just the beginning. At The Reading Room, reading isn’t a chore—it's khel khel mein seekhna (learning while playing). Kids come here to escape screens, make friends, and find joy in stories.
Books, Games, and Messy Hands
- Our library is stacked with books for every mood and age. Kids borrow what they like and many end up with a huge pile—no judgment!
- Interactive story sessions for kids aren't just about listening. We act out stories, ask loads of questions, and sometimes invite authors over. Watching the kids perform 'The Gruffalo' is always a highlight.
- We love creative chaos—arts and crafts library activities are linked to what we read. One day it’s puppet-making, another day it’s Halloween ghost lollipops or festival crafts.
Drama, Play, and Community
- Drama and puppetry workshops let kids try out theatre games, role-play, and shadow puppetry. It’s about building confidence, not perfect performances.
- The play area’s always busy with board games—fun, but also a sneaky way to build social skills.
- Our holiday camps for young readers mix in science, crafts, and drama, so there’s no such thing as a boring break.
For All Ages, All Year
- Toddlers have their own cozy corner for sensory play and storytime.
- The main programs (3-10 years) include everything from reading clubs for children to drama classes and themed camps.
- The space is bright, with murals, bean bags, and nooks for curling up with a book. Kids usually don’t want to leave, and honestly, neither do I.
