Science and Hands-On Learning Camps for Kids
We swap screens for rocket launchers and biology experiments. Our camps turn school holidays into adventure time, where kids learn physics, nature, and science by actually doing it.
Our Science Camp is in full swing. Here, a group of young scientists in their lab coats are gathered around the table, ready for their next lesson.
The children are actively participating in a discussion during science camp. We encourage them to ask questions and share their ideas.
A young student listens intently during our science camp. We aim to spark curiosity and a lifelong love for learning in every child.
A proud student shows off his drawing of a dinosaur, created during a science camp activity. Art is a great way for children to express what they've learned.
Another wonderful piece of art from our science camp. This student proudly displays her colorful dinosaur drawing for the camera.
An instructor introduces the topic for the day: the human eye. We use engaging questions and props to make complex subjects like biology accessible and fun for kids.
Science camp Day 2 was all about eye observation. The children participated in sensory activities that helped them understand how our eyes work.
An engaging session to understand the importance of our eyes. The children created models of eyeballs and learned about eye care.
The finished eyeball crafts from our sensory organ session. The kids learned that we must take care of our eyes by eating vegetables and reducing screen time.
A young scientist proudly holds up the eyeball model he made during our science camp. Hands-on crafts make learning about biology much more memorable.
About Hands-On Learning & Science Camps
We do not just lecture about science; we put lab coats on the kids and get to work. Whether we are launching DIY rockets to understand physics or building eyeball models to explore biology, every session is designed so children touch, build, and actually see how things function. It is messy, loud, and exactly how kids should be learning.
Turning Holidays into Discovery
School breaks do not have to be about video games and idle time. At The Reading Room, we believe that curiosity is a muscle that needs exercise. Our 5-day seasonal camps are structured to be intensive and deeply practical, ensuring that by the end of the week, every child takes home both a project and a new understanding of the world.
What We Actually Do
- Physics in Motion: We teach concepts like force and motion by having kids crawl like animals, build their own maze games, and launch real rockets. If they can move their bodies and see the results of an experiment, they remember the lesson far better than a textbook ever could.
- Biology Made Real: Complex topics like the human eye become simple when you are crafting your own model of one. We use these hands-on crafts to talk about health, screen time, and why eating vegetables actually matters for your vision.
- The 'Scientist' Experience: Every camper gets a lab coat. This is not just a uniform; it is a mindset. When they wear it, they are not just students in a class, they are observers and creators.
Why Parents Choose Us
Located in Sector 39, Noida, our space is completely screen-free. We handle all the supplies, from paints and glue to science kits and safety gear. Each camp culminates in a small showcase where kids present their models or crafts, which is always a moment of pure pride for both parents and the little ones. If you are looking to get your child off the couch and into a space where they can be messy, curious, and creative, our seasonal camps are the perfect fit.
The Reading Room
I am Riddhika, and I started this space because I wanted a place where my own kids would want to spend their holidays. My team and I believe that if you give a child a lab coat and a mission, they will forget all about their screens and start exploring the world around them.
