Statement & Sculptural Cakes
Cakes designed to be conversation starters. I use my signature fondant-free techniques to craft unique, sculptural designs that prove edible art can take any shape.
Is it cake? Yes, it is! This Jack Daniels barrel cake is one of my favorite creations, made entirely without fondant. The wood grain texture is hand-painted, and the "ice" is made from edible sugar crystals.
This is a "top forward" cake, a modern style where the cake is laid on its side for a unique presentation. I've decorated this one with a beautiful blue and white floral pattern.
About Statement & Sculptural Cakes
I achieve these structural designs, like the Jack Daniels barrel or top-forward cakes, using only rich ganache and buttercream. Since I avoid using fondant to cover my cakes, you get a clean, sharp finish that tastes as good as it looks, without the plasticky icing texture.
Creating a sculpture out of cake is a challenge I love. Many people think you need fondant to get sharp edges or complex shapes, but I prefer working exclusively with ganache. It gives the cake a smooth, professional finish that stands out at any party.
Whether it is a top-forward cake with floral painting or a realistic-looking barrel for a whiskey theme, the process starts with proper structural support and temperature control. Because Bangalore weather can be tricky, I do not use heavy artificial stabilizers. Instead, I rely on the natural set of premium chocolate ganache.
These designs take a little more time to plan, so please reach out at least a week before your event. All cakes are 100% eggless and ready for pickup from my space at Vishwapriya Vertical Garden in Whitefield. If you have a wild idea or a photo you have seen online, send it over.
