About Hands-On Specialized Workshops
We run these intensives like a real professional design studio, not a hobby class. You will be handling actual materials—from etching presses and wire cutters to block printing inks—working through the same messy, iterative process that actual designers use to solve problems.
Think, Don't Just Copy
Most art classes teach you how to render a perfect image. We teach you how to think. Whether you are aiming for a design portfolio for NID, RISD, or Parsons, or simply want to find your artistic voice, our specialized workshops are designed to break your reliance on templates and references.
The Workshop Experience
Our 5-day intensive workshops (30 hours of instruction) at our Prabhadevi studio are where the real work happens. You aren't just sitting and listening; you are in the thick of it:
- Fashion Studio: Beyond illustration, we dive into fabric play and concept-driven design.
- Product Design: You move from sketching to creating tangible prototypes, learning the empathy required to design for real-world needs.
- Printmaking & Graphic Design: You learn to master the press and the layout, transforming raw concepts into bold visual statements.
What You Leave With
These sessions are about process documentation. We don't just care about the polished final piece; we care about the mood boards, the failed experiments, and the ideation sheets. This is the 'messy' part that top design colleges actually look for. You will leave with a clear understanding of your own creative process and at least one complex, portfolio-ready project.
If you are a Grade 9-12 student, this is your time to test the waters of a creative career without the fluff.
Purnima Sampat
I started this studio because I saw too many students learning to copy, not to think. At my Prabhadevi space, we treat you like a colleague, not a student. Come ready to get your hands dirty, make mistakes, and actually build something you are proud of.
