Here is a compilation of ten of my most versatile mural projects, from large-scale commercial cafes to intricate residential texture walls. Each project presented its own unique challenges and rewarding results, pushing my creative boundaries.
About this collection
I hand-sculpt each mural directly onto your wall, which means I first need to see the space to understand how your lighting hits it. I use professional texture paste to build layers of depth, creating patterns—whether it's wild vines or delicate lotus flowers—that are designed to flow with your room's architecture. Because I build the art piece by piece on-site, the finished texture is unique to your specific wall, not a mass-produced panel.
How My Process Works
When you commission a botanical mural, the work begins with a site visit. Ghar dekh ke hi idea aata hai, so I need to see your wall to understand the scale and the way light interacts with the surface. Once we align on a sketch, I start the sculpting process.
I use high-grade modeling clay and texture paste, building depth anywhere from 2mm to 10mm. This is a multi-day process because the texture needs to set properly between layers. I typically require 5 to 8 days on-site for a standard wall. After the sculpting is complete, I sand every edge for a soft, premium feel and finish with a double coat of varnish. This makes the art dust-resistant and easy to maintain.
Why Choose Texture Over Paint?
Flat paint changes color, but texture changes the feeling of a room. Whether you prefer a subtle white-on-white monochromatic look for a serene bedroom or a bold, colorful botanical scene for your living area, the physical relief adds a layer of sophistication that standard wallpaper or paint cannot replicate.
Logistics and Installation
I travel across India for projects. For those who need a more flexible solution, I also offer movable 3D panels created off-site in my studio. These panels, usually 4ft x 6ft, are mounted on MDF and can be installed by a local carpenter, making them perfect for rental homes where permanent wall changes aren't an option.
Aanchal Gupta
I’m Aanchal, the artist behind The Art Pitcher. I left my corporate life four years ago to work with my hands, and I’ve spent that time obsessing over how texture can completely change a room. Whether it's a calm floral corner in a Hyderabad home or a statement panel in Ahmedabad, I sculpt every detail myself.
