About National Leadership & Seminars
When I lead a National Referee Course, my focus goes beyond just the rulebook. I emphasize the practical application of Kyorugi sparring rules and the high-pressure decision-making required at the national level. My goal is to ensure that the officials who leave these seminars are not just technical experts, but true guardians of fair play on the mat.
As an International Technical Official and National Examiner, I believe that the health of our sport depends on the consistency of its leadership. My role in these seminars is to bridge the gap between abstract theory and real-time execution.
The Role of a National Official
Refereeing is not merely about signaling points; it is about interpreting the intent of the athlete under the rules of World Taekwondo. In these refresher courses and national seminars, we break down complex Kyorugi situations. We analyze split-second movements, discuss the nuances of sensor-based scoring, and ensure that every participant understands the weight of their decisions on an athlete’s career.
Standardizing Training Across India
Whether I am in Cuttack, Rajasthan, or Kerala, the curriculum remains focused on the TFI guidelines. We ensure that a coach in a remote district and a referee at the National Games are speaking the same technical language. This consistency is what allows our sport to grow properly in India.
What These Seminars Cover
- Technical Rule Updates: Adapting to current World Taekwondo standards.
- Practical Drills: Analyzing sparring patterns and electronic scoring simulations.
- Ethics & Conduct: Maintaining the integrity and respect inherent in Taekwondo.
My gratitude remains with the Taekwondo Federation of India for these opportunities. Every seminar is a chance to pass on the discipline that I have practiced for my entire life.
