Custom Work & Study Corners

We design productive, inspiring nooks that actually help you get things done. No Pinterest copying—just practical, well-lit spaces carved out of your existing home.

This home office is designed to be both inviting and functional. The custom-designed bookshelf is a piece of art in itself, providing ample storage while creating a unique visual feature. The warm accent wall and modern lighting make it a great space for focused work.

We transformed a small bedroom extension into this cozy and productive study area. The travertine-style wall paneling and wooden desk create a warm, natural feel, while the open shelves are perfect for books and personal items.

Even a small corner can become a functional workspace. Here, a simple floating wooden desk and shelf provide a dedicated spot for work without taking up much floor space. It's an efficient use of space in a multi-purpose room.

A reading nook with a view. The dark, full-height bookshelf creates a dramatic, library-like feel, while the comfortable armchair is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the natural light from the large window.

This multi-functional room serves as a creative studio and a guest room. The murphy bed is cleverly hidden within the dark cabinetry, allowing the space to be open for art projects during the day. The large ottomans provide flexible seating.

About this collection

The biggest mistake we see in home offices is trying to cram a standard desk into a space that wasn't built for it. Instead of buying a heavy, pre-made office desk, look at the corner you actually have. In the projects shown here, we used floating shelves and customized wall paneling to define the work zone without eating up the room’s floor space. It is about creating a visual boundary, not just a surface.

Making Your Workspace Work

Design is rarely about buying the most expensive chair. It is about how your space helps you flow through the day. When we approach a work-from-home setup, we look for two things: focus and flexibility. If your room needs to act as both a creative studio and a guest bedroom, we build that in. You will see projects in our gallery where we integrated Murphy beds into custom cabinetry—a perfect example of hiding the 'bed' to open up the 'studio' during work hours.

Lighting is Non-Negotiable

Stop relying on a single overhead bulb. For any study corner or creative nook, we always advocate for three layers of light:

  1. Ambient: For the overall room.
  2. Task: Focused light directly on your desk or reading chair.
  3. Accent: Warm LEDs or cove lighting to make the space feel like a sanctuary rather than a cubicle.

Designing for the Long Haul

Whether you need a full-height bookshelf that anchors a reading nook or a simple floating console in a narrow hallway, we focus on durability. We love using natural textures like exposed brick or travertine, but we always balance them with practical storage. Your desk shouldn't just be a place to dump files; it should be a place where you actually want to sit down and create.
