Your bathroom should be more than just a functional space. I design these rooms to be your personal sanctuary, blending smart layouts with the right textures to help you reset at the start and end of every day.

This bathroom shows how a simple switch of tile color can transform a space. The vibrant teal subway tiles create a fresh and energetic vibe, beautifully complemented by the warm wood vanity and brass mirror frame.

Here is the same bathroom layout, but with a different mood. The dark, vertically stacked tiles create a more sophisticated and dramatic look. The light-colored lower walls and floor keep the space from feeling too heavy.

A third variation on the same bathroom layout, this time with a deep green subway tile. This color creates a rich, earthy, and calming atmosphere, turning the shower area into a beautiful feature.

This spacious bathroom was designed to be a personal sanctuary. It features a double vanity with classic cabinetry, a large walk-in shower, and a mix of textures from the tiled wainscoting to the smooth plaster walls. It’s a space to both recharge for the day and unwind at night.

Clean, crisp, and contemporary is my anthem for many projects. This bathroom uses a simple palette of grey micro-cement walls, wood accents, and brass fixtures to create a look that is modern, warm, and timeless.

This powder room makes a bold statement with its patterned floor tiles and dramatic pendant lighting. The large mirror enhances the sense of space, while the wooden vanity adds a natural, grounding element.

A quick before-and-after of a bathroom transformation. We took a basic, functional space and gave it a complete aesthetic upgrade with new tiles, fixtures, and lighting to create a much more inviting and cozy room.

About Bathrooms: Rejuvenating Retreats

Most people overlook lighting in the bathroom, but it is the single biggest factor in how the space feels. I always suggest a three-layer approach: bright task lighting for your mirror, soft cove lighting for the shower, and a warm ambient glow for the evening. If you are renovating, do not just pick tiles you like in a catalog; bring a sample to your site and check how they look under your specific bathroom light—it changes everything.
