My Philosophy: Why I Use Force-Free Dog Training

I don't believe in quick fixes or harsh commands. My training is built on patience, trust, and rewards—the same foundation I used to build my bond with my Indie, Mishti.

I offer a comprehensive training program that covers everything your puppy needs. From obedience and breed-specific exercise to solving separation issues, I'm here to guide you.

I changed my entire career to follow my passion, and I have absolutely no regrets. My journey started with my own dog, and now I get to help others build that same incredible bond.

This is my family. My dog Mishti is the reason I started TailSpin, and she is the inspiration behind everything I do. She taught me what true connection feels like.

My dog isn't just a pet, she's a core part of my life and my business. This authentic, personal connection is what I strive to help all my clients achieve with their own dogs.

This is my muse, Mishti. She is my 'demo dog' and my best friend. Every training technique I teach is one that I have used with her, built on a foundation of trust and positive reinforcement.

Three blissful years since this wonderful dog walked into my life. Celebrating her 'gotcha day' is a reminder of the joy and purpose she has brought me, and why I'm so passionate about helping others.

Here are three quick, essential tips for all new puppy parents. I focus on practical advice, like redirecting teething onto toys and practicing handling, to prevent common problems before they start.

About this collection

I often tell clients that if you find yourself shouting a list of commands like 'sit, stay, go down' all at once, your dog isn't being disobedient—they are just confused. A core part of my philosophy is shifting the focus from 'Why is my dog doing this?' to 'What would I rather my dog do?'. When we stop giving a barrage of commands and start rewarding calm, intentional choices, we teach your dog to think and choose you over the distractions of the outside world.

Training as a Relationship, Not a Drill

Many of us fall into the trap of thinking dog training is about teaching 'tricks' to get a puppy to behave like a robot. In reality, I see training as a language. If you want your dog to listen, you have to be worth listening to. That starts with force-free, reward-based methods. I don't use fear or intimidation because those methods break trust. Instead, we use positive reinforcement to build a partnership.

The 'Less is More' Approach

We often accidentally over-stimulate our dogs. If you are rushing to toilet train your puppy outdoors while the world is full of sounds, smells, and traffic, you are setting them up to be overwhelmed. My approach involves building skills indoors first—what I call 'indoor foundations'—before we ever step out into the chaos of Bengaluru streets. Whether it's mastering a simple 'Bega baa' (come quick) recall or teaching a puppy how to settle down in a crate, we work in tiny, manageable steps.

Why Choice Matters

My goal is to raise a dog who wants to listen to you, even when there is no treat in your hand. This happens when you provide your dog with appropriate choices. If your puppy is chewing your shoes, the problem isn't the dog—it is the lack of a better alternative. By redirecting that energy onto a toy or a puzzle, you teach them to make the right choice on their own. This is how we move from managing behavior to truly understanding the animal in front of us. Whether we are doing in-home sessions in Bengaluru or coaching remotely, my focus remains the same: helping you and your dog find that harmonious, stress-free bond.
