My Force-Free Dog Training Philosophy
Training shouldn't be about control; it's about building a language between you and your dog. Here is why I stick to force-free, science-backed methods to help your best friend thrive.
I'm very direct about my training style, so I want you to know if we're the right fit. I believe in empowering you, the owner, to build a strong relationship with your dog through positive reinforcement, not quick fixes or harsh methods.

Gifting a puppy can be a wonderful thing, but it's a 15-year commitment, not a sweater. I created this checklist to help people make a responsible, informed decision that sets both the new puppy and their parent up for success.

About My Training Philosophy: Force-Free & Fun
If you’re looking for a trainer to just 'fix' your dog while you sit back, we won't be a match. My training is a 90/10 split: 90% is your daily consistency and effort at home, and 10% is my guidance. I don't use fear or harsh tools—I teach you to read your dog’s subtle stress signals like lip licking or whale eye, so you can stop behavior issues before they even start.
Why I don't use punishment
Many trainers promise quick fixes by suppressing behavior. If you punish a dog for growling, you haven't fixed the aggression; you've just taught them to bite without warning. That is dangerous. My force-free approach is all about addressing the root cause—whether it is anxiety, lack of confidence, or just boredom.
The 90/10 Rule
I often tell my clients that training is 90% their effort and 10% the dog's. You live with your dog, not me. If we don't have you on board, the training won't stick. During our sessions, I’ll coach you on the mechanics of your own body language and the tone of your commands. It is about becoming a teammate your dog trusts, not an authority figure they obey out of fear.
What we work on
- Understanding signals: Learning to spot the 'whale eye' or lip licking before a reaction happens.
- High-value rewards: Moving beyond basic kibble to what actually motivates your dog.
- Real-world skills: Building calm in high-distraction zones like Cubbon Park or your own living room.
Is this the right fit?
If you believe in using choke chains, leash yanking, or fear to get results, I am not the trainer for you. I am here for the pet parents who want a deep, respectful relationship with their dog. If that sounds like you, let’s get started.
Pranati
I'm Pranati, and I share my life with Theo, my rowdy German Shepherd. I started this because I wanted that deep bond of trust with my dog, and I know you want that too. I'm not here to just give commands; I'm here to show you how to truly understand your best friend.
