Featured Dance Intensive Highlights
A glimpse into our intensive dance programs where we blend rigorous technique with genuine creative freedom for young dancers.
This is what a summer at Taglioni feels like. Our dance intensives are packed with energy, from learning foundational ballet techniques at the barre to exploring creative contemporary movements. We focus on creating a space where kids can push their limits, build strength, and most importantly, have fun while discovering their passion for dance.
Here are all the details for our upcoming Summer Dance Intensive. This ten-day program is designed for ages 4 to 13 and covers Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary dance. We focus on everything from barre work and floor routines to choreography and musicality games, ensuring a comprehensive and exciting experience.
We believe in hands-on guidance to help every child achieve their best. Here, our director Dharna works one on one with a young dancer on her flexibility, ensuring she learns the proper technique safely. This personalized attention is at the heart of our teaching philosophy for all our kids' ballet and jazz classes.
Building a strong and flexible body is a key part of our dance training. In our kids' ballet and jazz classes, we guide students through conditioning exercises like backbends, helping them develop core strength and agility in a fun, supportive group setting. Look at these young ballerinas in their pink tutus, getting stronger with every class.
Dance is about telling a story. In this clip, our instructor explains the concept of embodying a flower, from a bud to a blooming petal. This creative approach helps our young students connect emotionally with their movements, transforming technical steps into expressive ballet and contemporary choreography.
Don't just take our word for it. Hearing from our dance families means the world to us. In this video, parents share their experiences with our classes and supportive instructors, highlighting the progress and joy they see in their children.
We celebrate every milestone in a dancer's journey. Here, our instructor Muskan assists a student in mastering an advanced flexibility pose. Using tools like yoga blocks, we ensure students can safely progress in their contemporary dance training, building both physical strength and confidence.
The magic of performance is the culmination of hard work and passion. These young ballerinas, dressed for their "Barbie x Swan Lake" piece, showcase the grace and poise they developed during their training. Our intensives prepare students for the stage, giving them a chance to shine.
About Featured
In these intensives, we move beyond simple steps to build a real technical foundation. Whether it is refining barre posture or perfecting a jazz turn, my goal is to give students the tools to understand their own bodies. Every session includes conditioning and improvisation, so your child learns to dance with both discipline and personal expression.
Our Approach to Dance Training
At Taglioni, we believe dance is for everyone, regardless of age or experience. Our intensives are designed to be a safe, high-energy space where students learn to build strength and agility alongside artistic expression. We keep our batches strictly age-segregated to ensure that a 4-year-old and a 13-year-old are both receiving the pacing and focus they need to grow safely.
Technical Foundation
We structure these courses to cover the full spectrum of movement. Each 10-day intensive focuses on:
- Technical Drills: Daily practice of sauté jumps, chainé turns, and barre basics.
- Conditioning: 15 minutes of core-building exercises specifically designed to improve flexibility and prevent injury.
- Theory & History: We teach the 'why' behind the move, introducing French ballet terminology and historical context so students understand the craft.
Expression over Copying
It is not enough to simply mimic a teacher. During our creative improvisation sessions, we encourage students to develop their own choreography. We want them to understand how to embody a feeling—like representing a flower blooming or a seasonal change—which is how technique transforms into performance art. Our studio in Sector 57, Gurgaon, is fully equipped with professional ballet barres and slip-resistant flooring to support this rigorous training safely.
