About Join Our Next Dance Intensive
These sessions are designed to pack months of progress into a short, high-energy timeframe. We move beyond simple choreography to focus on foundational technique, teaching students the mechanics behind jumps, turns, and floor work, which helps them build genuine strength and confidence regardless of their current skill level.
Why Choose an Intensive?
Most dance learning happens slowly over time, but our intensive programs are designed for a deep dive. By compressing the curriculum into 10-day or 8-class modules, students build muscle memory and technical proficiency faster. It is ideal for students who want to bridge the gap between their current skill level and the next milestone.
What We Cover
Our intensives are not just about learning a dance routine. We integrate a three-genre curriculum:
- Ballet: We focus on posture, turnout mechanics, and the French terminology that forms the base of all dance.
- Jazz: This is where we bring in sharp movements, body isolations, and jazz walks for energy and style.
- Contemporary: We explore floor flow and gravity-based movements to help dancers learn how to express themselves through motion.
The Taglioni Approach
Every student gets focused attention, which is why we keep our batch sizes small. Whether your child is 4 or 13, they are placed in an age-segregated group to ensure the pace matches their development. We believe the studio should be a safe space—a place where they can try, mess up, and try again without the pressure of perfection.
We also incorporate conditioning exercises to improve flexibility and strength, along with dance history to help students appreciate the art form. By the end of the program, they take home a participation certificate and, more importantly, a newfound rhythm and confidence in their own abilities.
