See how we move beyond simple paint to transform standard doorways into sensory gateways using layered textiles, hand-embroidery, and soft, integrated lighting.

A work-in-progress view of the arches that became the boutique's signature feature. Even in their raw plywood state, the repeating curves begin to create the sense of depth and fluid movement that we envisioned for the space.

The initial framing stage for one of the interior arches. We meticulously planned the dimensions and curves to create a seamless transition between zones, ensuring the structure was perfect before the delicate process of fabric wrapping began.

A behind-the-scenes shot from our photoshoot, capturing the iconic arches on camera. This view from the monitor shows how we worked to get the perfect angle, highlighting the layered perspective and the warm, inviting glow of the integrated lighting.

A close-up of the hand-embroidered fabric used to wrap the arches. This level of 3D appliqué and detailed threadwork turns a simple architectural element into a piece of textile art, meant to be appreciated up close as you walk through.

About The Art of the Arch: Fabric as Architecture

Wrapping an arch in fabric is rarely just about aesthetics, it is an engineering challenge. We start with a plywood frame, apply precise padding, and then layer the hand-embroidered textile to ensure the curve remains sharp and the pattern stays perfectly aligned, preventing any sagging or distortion over time.

When we look at a bare doorway, we do not just see a passage, we see an opportunity for rhythm. Our approach to retail design in Bengaluru often centers on using arches to define how a customer moves through a space.

Why Fabric Over Paint?

Paint is static. Fabric has a pulse. By wrapping our structural arches in hand-embroidered textiles, we create a tactile experience that changes as you walk past. You are not just looking at a room, you are brushing against the layers of the brand’s identity. Whether it is 3D appliqué or zari work, the fabric becomes the architecture.

The Technical Reality

We start from a plywood framework to create the perfect curve. This is crucial because standard walls are rarely perfectly plumb. We build out the cove, add the padding for that soft, inviting touch, and then tension the fabric. It is a slow, manual process that requires patience, far removed from the speed of conventional civil work. When you add hidden magnetic tracks that wash the embroidery in soft, warm light, the arch transforms from a simple transition into a moment.

If you have a retail boutique or a luxury home and want to move away from rigid, predictable lines, this is how we do it. It is tactile, it is intentional, and it is built to invite touch.

We are Sonal and Aniketh. We do not believe in quick fixes or generic store layouts. We build spaces that tell a story, one layer of fabric at a time, often turning structural elements like arches into the centerpiece of your brand's experience.
