Our Signature Experiential Design Projects
We do not just design rooms; we craft narratives you can walk through. Explore our most expressive work where texture, mood, and detail come together to tell a story.
This is the heart of the Moire studio, a series of fabric-wrapped arches that create a visual rhythm, drawing you deeper into the space. We designed these not just as passageways, but as architectural moments that make the journey through the boutique an experience in itself.
We believe the journey is as beautiful as the destination. This film shows the complete transformation of the Moire studio, from a narrow, empty shell to a layered, story-rich space, giving you a glimpse into our meticulous design and execution process.
In this zone, we brought together soft mauve, rich mustard, and deep midnight blue to create a feeling of quiet opulence. The custom-designed curved sofa and the intricately embroidered fabric partition are bespoke pieces that define the character of this intimate lounge area within the retail space.
The entrance sets the tone for the entire experience. We designed this arched door to be a statement of intent, wrapping it in a custom-embellished fabric with a 3D floral motif. It’s a tactile invitation that signals this is no ordinary boutique.
We love creating distinct moods within a single space. This corner of the studio was designed to be bold and expressive, with a maximalist approach that layers rich colors, dramatic lighting, and custom furniture to create an immersive and memorable client interaction zone.
This quiet corner is our nod to the Art Deco era, featuring custom-designed bar chairs and a striking fabric-wrapped wall panel. It demonstrates how we integrate different design languages to create varied, yet cohesive, experiences within a retail environment.
Inspired by the intimacy of a boudoir, this zone is all about softness and intricate detail. The mirror, framed in pleated fabric and adorned with hand-stitched raffia blooms, is a centerpiece that showcases our passion for delicate, couture-like craftsmanship in interiors.
This is how fabric becomes architecture. We're sharing the process behind our signature arches, from the structural framework and precise templates to the hand-embroidery and final fabric wrapping. It’s a look at the intense craftsmanship that goes into creating these seamless, couture details.
We were so grateful to see our vision for the Moire boutique celebrated on the pages of Livingetc India. This feature, titled "The Woven Room," beautifully captured our philosophy of letting textiles evolve beyond ornamentation to become architecture itself.
We are Sonal and Aniketh, the partners behind Studio Ipsa. Our design is a collaborative process, built on a shared passion for creating spaces that have soul and tell meaningful stories. This project was a milestone for us, bringing together everything we value in design.
About Featured
At Studio Ipsa, we approach every retail project as a three-dimensional narrative. For our Moire boutique project, we moved beyond standard construction and used fabric-wrapped arches and custom-embroidered panels to create distinct zones. We do not apply cookie-cutter layouts; we design everything from the joinery to the ceiling cornices so the space feels like a cohesive destination.
Design is not just about what you see, but what you feel. When we start a project, we do not look at a standard checklist. We look for the soul of the space. Whether it is a commercial boutique in Bengaluru or a private home, our process starts by defining the emotional mood before we ever pick up a pencil to draw a wall.
We divide spaces into zones, using custom-tailored elements to transition from one feeling to the next. In our retail work, this means playing with light, shadow, and texture to guide your customer through a deliberate experience. We are obsessed with the details because that is where the story lives. From hand-stitched floral motifs on a door to the way a ceiling cornice wraps around a corner, every element is designed specifically for that project.
We work with an honest, transparent process. We share the sketches, the site dust, the late-night problem solving, and the final results. You will see us on-site working alongside our craftsmen, ensuring the fabric application is seamless and the lighting hits exactly right. If you are looking for an interior that feels lived-in, layered, and deeply personal, we are the team to call.
Studio Ipsa
We are Sonal and Aniketh. We believe a space works only when it has a soul, so we spend as much time on the emotional mood board as we do on the technical drawings. If you want a shop or a home that feels lived-in and deeply personal, we should talk.
