Handmade Ceramic Experiments and Studio Snippets

Pottery is rarely a straight line from a lump of clay to a finished bowl. In my Powai studio, I spend a lot of time testing how different stoneware clays react to my hand-building techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab rolling. This section serves as my creative scratchpad. You might find a mug with a handle that didn't quite sit right, a glaze test that created a pattern I didn't expect, or a sculptural form I am still refining.

I do not believe in hiding the struggle or the mess. Many of the techniques I use, such as Sgraffito or experimenting with unusual textures, require significant trial and error. Seeing these in-progress pieces helps you understand the labor and patience that goes into the functional art you see elsewhere on the site.
