Private Residences Designed as Sanctuaries in Nature
We craft homes that harmonize with their environment, turning site-specific conditions into the foundation of your architectural narrative.
Our "Pavilions in the Fields" project places three distinct homes within an expansive paddy field landscape. The design concept treats each house as a modern pavilion, creating a dialogue between the architectural form and the vast, unending natural scenery of Goa.
The entrance to a pavilion home features a serene water lily pond, setting a tranquil tone. We juxtapose solid, earthy volumes with delicate, perforated screens, creating a play of solidity and transparency that defines the home's character.
The infinity pool of a pavilion home is designed as a sharp edge of water that meets the soft texture of the paddy fields. This creates a seamless transition from the curated space of the home to the wildness of the surrounding landscape.

The entrance to one of the pavilion homes, where a solid wood door is set within a composition of textured concrete, hanging planters, and a perforated screen. This moment captures the balance of coolness and warmth, solidity and transparency.
An overview of the three pavilion homes set against the vastness of the fields. The architecture is designed to be a quiet, respectful addition to the landscape, with low profiles and natural materials that harmonize with the environment.
The entrance to our Vagator Villas development, where soft-edged, earthy forms create a welcoming and understated presence. The design uses minimal lines and a muted color palette to blend the architecture with the lush Goan outdoors.
The facade of the Vagator Villas features soft, curved openings and large glass walls that create a distinctive, modern typology. The surrounding tropical foliage is an integral part of the design, softening the building's edges and grounding it in its location.
The rear view of a Vagator villa, showing the living space opening onto a wooden deck and private pool. The upper floor features a dramatic, soft-edged window and balcony, creating a unique architectural signature for each home.
The interior of a Vagator villa showcases an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area with earthy finishes and soft, neutral tones. Large sliding glass doors connect the space directly to the pool deck, promoting a relaxed, indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
About Private Residences: Sanctuaries in Nature
Our approach to private residences centers on a pavilion-based typology, designed specifically to address local micro-climates. By utilizing large overhangs and perforated screens, we naturally regulate indoor temperatures and ensure privacy, allowing your living spaces to extend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape.
Tropical Modernism in Practice
We believe that a house is more than a structure; it is a story told through the land it occupies. Our designs for private residences prioritize the concept of 'tropical modernism,' where the boundary between interior and exterior is intentionally blurred. We use expansive glazing, continuous flooring materials, and integrated courtyards to ensure that light and air flow uninterrupted, creating spaces that feel breathable and grounded.
Designing for Complex Topographies
Every site presents its own unique challenge, whether it is a flat paddy field or a steeply sloping hillside. For projects like our Moira Homes, we work with the natural contour of the land rather than leveling it, using terraced arrangements that require minimal excavation. This sensitive approach preserves the site's character while creating dynamic, split-level volumes that enhance the home's connection to its surroundings.
The Technical Process
Our design methodology is built on a foundation of detailed documentation. From the initial conceptual sketches to the final Good-for-Construction (GFC) drawings, we maintain rigorous control over every detail. We specialize in:
- Passive Cooling: Integrating water bodies, green facades, and wind-flow optimization to reduce reliance on artificial climate control.
- Materiality: Selecting finishes like Laterite, Travertine, and Corten Steel that age gracefully and respond to India's varied climates.
- Custom Fabrication: Designing bespoke perforated screens and privacy fins that manipulate light, creating shifting patterns of shadow and warmth throughout the day.
We guide our clients through each stage, ensuring that the final build is as thoughtful as the initial narrative.
