I bridge the gap between academic theory and the daily realities of professional heritage practice, sharing insights at universities and industry forums globally.

Speaking on a panel at the Outlook Responsible Tourism Culture & Heritage Awards. It is always inspiring to be part of a jury with other experts and meet so many passionate artists and professionals in the field.

Speaking at the "Pinkprint" International Conference of Women Architects. It is crucial to have platforms like these to discuss the contributions and challenges for women in the field of architecture.

A clip from a Women's Day special feature on WION News. In the interview, I reflect on my 20-year journey, the challenges faced as a woman in a patriarchal field, and how adaptive reuse has become a key part of sustainable practice.

Presenting a keynote at the D-Arc Build Expo, with an image of a dense urban streetscape on the screen behind me. My talks often focus on the potential for community-led revitalization in complex urban environments.

Presenting on the topic of "Her Identity" at the International Conference of Women Architects. My presentation focused on the unique perspectives and strengths that women bring to the architectural profession.

On stage with fellow mentors at the WADE ASIA conference. Events like these, which bring together experienced professionals to guide the next generation, are incredibly important for the future of our industry.

Presenting a case study of a haveli restoration project during my talk at the IHBC Annual School in Shrewsbury. Showing real-world examples is the most effective way to communicate the principles of conservation.

Participating in a panel discussion on the "Built Heritage of Modern India" at the India Art, Architecture & Design Biennale. The conversation explored the intersection of sustainability, culture, and modern design.

Presenting on "Conservation for Infill Development" at a postgraduate program. My lecture focused on how heritage conservation can be integrated with new development to create richer, more sustainable urban fabrics.

Seated on a panel discussion with fellow experts. These academic engagements are vital for exchanging ideas and pushing the boundaries of current thought in urban conservation and design.

About Sharing Knowledge: Lectures, Panels & Keynotes

My speaking engagements focus on the bridge between academic theory and the ground-level work of architectural practice. I do not believe in polished, theoretical lectures that ignore the daily struggles of conservation. Instead, I share the practical, often difficult realities of restoring heritage buildings in Indian cities, from navigating material decay to managing community expectations.

Why focus on the messy side of architecture? Because that is where the real learning happens. When I speak at universities or industry forums, I prioritize the process over abstract concepts. Whether we are discussing adaptive reuse, the role of women in the construction industry, or the necessity of placemaking, my goal is to provide actionable insights that architects, students, and property owners can actually use.

My approach to knowledge sharing is shaped by the Jugaadopolis initiative, which treats urban regeneration as a collaborative act. I speak often on how we can reuse existing structures rather than demolishing them, an approach that is both sustainable and culturally vital. You will find my talks centered on three core themes:

  • Heritage Conservation: How we assess old buildings, identify original materials like lime and brick, and plan for their long-term survival.
  • Urban Regeneration: Moving beyond design to consider the community’s role in public spaces.
  • Professional Practice: The honest, behind-the-scenes look at running an architecture studio in India, including the challenges of starting an independent firm.

If you are organizing a conference or a university panel, I am interested in conversations that challenge the status quo. I am not looking to present polished portfolios, but rather to facilitate a genuine exchange of ideas on the future of our built environment.
