Advancing Architectural Thought and Mentorship
Architecture is a continuous dialogue. I share my experience—from high-rise construction to sustainable urban design—to help the next generation and push our industry forward.
In this talk, I discuss the importance of flexibility and connectivity in design. I explain how buildings must be adaptable, as we've seen commercial spaces become hospitals or schools, and how seamless accessibility is key to successful urban planning.
Speaking on Tall Building Constructions at the Concrete Day Celebration in Lucknow. It was a privilege to share my experience and interact with students, whose curious minds are the true foundation of our field.
On stage at FOAID 2024 in Delhi, sharing my insights on overcoming challenges in large-scale projects. I believe that to create resilient architecture, we must embrace change and build with foresight.
A closer view from my talk at the Design Manthan conference. It is always a pleasure to engage with fellow professionals and exchange ideas on how we can collectively shape a better-built environment.
Presenting at FOAID on the topic of "Thinking Big". Large-scale projects require a unique mindset, one that balances a grand vision with meticulous attention to detail and practical execution.
Another moment from my presentation at FOAID. Platforms like these are vital for the architectural community to inspire one another and push the boundaries of design.
Hosting a masterclass for budding architects at Grohe's Experiential Center in Bangalore. Sharing my knowledge on high-rise architecture with the next generation is always an eventful and fulfilling evening.
A clip from a presentation my team and I gave for a new hospitality project in Nepal. Collaborating with clients and partners like Team Hyatt to shape inspiring spaces is what drives my work forward.
As a panelist at the India Construction Tech Demo Day, discussing where design vision meets execution certainty. I shared my thoughts on how bold design thinking can be seamlessly aligned with real-world construction.
A wide shot of the panel discussion on "The Built Future". The conversation explored how technology and sustainable philosophies will shape the next decade of architecture.
About A Voice in Architecture: Speaking & Mentorship
I believe that architecture is not just about drafting blueprints; it is about solving real-world problems. Whether I am sitting on a jury panel, lecturing at a university, or speaking at industry conferences like FOAID, my goal is the same: to bridge the gap between design vision and execution certainty. I share the practical lessons I have learned over 37 years to ensure that the spaces we create are as functional as they are beautiful.
My commitment to the architectural community goes beyond the projects we build. I believe we have a responsibility to share knowledge, which is why I frequently participate in panel discussions, masterclasses, and juries. The industry is evolving rapidly, and I find it vital to engage with students and fellow professionals to discuss the future of urban design, high-rise construction, and climate-responsive architecture.
Why I Engage
Architecture is a field of constant change. By participating in platforms like the CREDAI National Indian Summit or ACE REFLECT, I address the practical challenges of urban density and the necessity of 'liberating spaces.' I don't just talk about aesthetic ideals; I discuss the nuts and bolts of master planning, volumetric analysis, and how to maintain quality in large-scale developments.
Mentoring the Next Generation
Interacting with students—at institutions like the Government College of Architecture or during masterclasses—is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. Their curiosity forces me to articulate my design philosophy in new ways. When I teach, I focus on the basics: listening to the site, understanding the constraints, and designing with flexibility. I want to show young architects that they are not just designing buildings; they are solving problems for the people who will inhabit them. If you are looking for design insights, mentorship, or industry collaboration, I am always open to a conversation about the built environment.
Reza Kabul
Architecture has been my life for nearly four decades, but my work does not stop at the drawing board. I find deep purpose in mentoring young minds and engaging in industry dialogues that question how we build for the future.
