My Comeback Journey: Rebuilding Strength After Injury
I went from a debilitating slip disc to reclaiming my strength. This is how I rebuilt my body, and how I can help you do the same.
This was my last push session. I hope to regain the strength I had before my slip disc injury by the middle of next year. By the grace of Mahakal, I will get there. This is my own comeback in progress.
Setbacks are just a chance to re-evaluate your goals. This video shows me working on hang cleans and tricep pushdowns. Every session is a step forward on the path to becoming stronger than before.
It's hard when your body isn't responding and nobody appreciates the work you put in. But you have to believe that one day it will all come together. Just do the work, because great things take time.
Pain is a sign that something needs to change. You must embrace it and learn from it. This is the mindset that got me through my recovery and it's what I teach my clients.
About My Comeback Journey
Most people try to jump back into heavy lifting too soon. That is how you get hurt again. When you start with me, we do not pick up heavy plates on day one. We start with a 90-minute diagnostic session to see where your body is compensating. We fix your scapula and glute activation first because a strong foundation is the only way to avoid returning to the same injury.
Recovery is not just about time off, it is about retraining your movement patterns. After my own slip disc injury, I realized that ignoring the pain or trying to push through only leads to more damage. My method is different.
The Process
I focus on corrective training at 21 Fitness in Vasant Kunj and GK2. We stop guessing and start measuring. I use range of motion testing and video analysis to identify your energy leaks. Whether it is your hips, thoracic spine, or shoulders, we isolate the imbalance and correct it with specific drills.
Why Form Matters
You cannot build a skyscraper on a cracked foundation. We prioritize unilateral movements like split squats to fix left-to-right imbalances before adding load. We work on your core stability so it acts like real armor for your spine. When we return to the big lifts like deadlifts and squats, we do it with perfect form.
The Mindset
This requires patience. 'Iron Never Lies', and your body will tell you the truth about your readiness. If you are in Delhi and struggling with back or shoulder pain, stop guessing. Let us identify the root cause, build a recovery roadmap, and get you back to training properly. Lage raho.
