Allow us to introduce ourselves. We're Siddhant and Nikita, the founders of STaND. This video shares a bit about our individual work styles and our shared vision to create architecture, interiors, and furniture with a unique, fresh perspective.
We met in college and started our studio eight years ago. Beyond being business partners, we're also the best of friends. This is us outside our new studio extension.

We started STaND because we wanted to build a studio that inspired us to design. A space that enables balance, free thought, and collaboration. This is a glimpse of our team at work in our Mumbai office.

Our office is Nikita's family home, a heritage bungalow in Chembur designed over 60 years ago. We feel a deep responsibility to preserve its legacy, maintaining its timeless facade, terrazzo floors, and intricate grill work.
About Our Studio, Team & Story
Our design process happens in our own heritage bungalow in Chembur, a space over 60 years old that we have restored ourselves. It acts as a living laboratory where we test materials like terracotta and brass, giving us a hands-on understanding of how spaces age, breathe, and function before we ever recommend them for your home or office.
We founded STaND with a simple belief: design should be as functional as it is emotive. We treat our studio like a personal diary, sharing the wins and the struggles behind every sketch and render. This transparency is central to our work because we know that the 'in-between'—the debates over material shades, the adjustments to lighting layouts, and the site coordination—is where the real quality is built.
Our team is a mix of visual thinkers, detail-oriented architects, and collaborative creatives. Whether we are working on a new retail identity or a residential renovation, we apply the same rigour we use in our own studio extension. We favor indigenous materials like reclaimed wood, local stone, and terracotta, often experimenting with traditional techniques like jalis to manage natural light in modern contexts.

We believe in immersion, which means we spend time understanding your memories, quirks, and daily routines to ensure the final output feels like it belongs to you. We are Siddhant and Nikita, and we started STaND back in college to create spaces that tell real human stories. We are not about rigid office rules—we are about long conversations, messy mood boards, and bringing your personal identity into the physical space.
