Versatile Singing in Marathi, Telugu & Western Pop
Music has no language. From the energy of Marathi folk to the soft melodies of Western pop, I love exploring how my voice adapts to different cultures and rhythms.
Aika Dajiba? A classic Marathi song that is so much fun to sing. I love the energy of this track.
I'm just happy I could sing this beautiful Marathi composition, "Kande Pohe," in its original pitch. It's a challenging but rewarding song by Sunidhi Chauhan.
"We push and pull like a magnet do." Here's my attempt at Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" on the ukulele. Please forgive any pronunciation mistakes.
The audio quality isn't the best, but "Heeriye" is such a cute song that I had to share my ukulele cover of it.
About Regional & Western Songs
Singing in a language that isn't your first is never just about getting the words right, it is about catching the lehza (tone) of the track. When I record Marathi or Telugu songs, or pick up a Western pop number, I spend extra time listening to the nuance so I can bring an honest feel to it. It is a constant learning process, but that is exactly what makes it so much fun for me.
My journey with music started with Bollywood, but I quickly realized that limiting myself to one style doesn't help me grow. Whether you are looking for a singer who can handle the specific diction of a Marathi folk song or someone who can bring a soulful, acoustic vibe to a Western pop cover, I am always ready to experiment.
How I Approach Language
When I take on a song in a new language, I do not just sing it. I research the meaning, the pronunciation, and the cultural context behind the lyrics. You will see this in my covers, where I focus on accuracy and emotion rather than just hitting the right notes. My goal is to make the listener feel the song, whether it is in Telugu, Marathi, or English.
Why Western Pop?
I love the stripped-back, raw feel of Western pop. Using my ukulele allows me to focus on vocal clarity and tone. It is a great way to showcase versatility and gives me a break from the standard playback styles. If you have a project that needs a fresh, non-traditional vocal texture, I am comfortable adapting my voice to fit that indie or pop aesthetic.
Remote Recording
Since I am set up for remote vocal sessions, I can easily deliver tracks for your projects regardless of your location. I provide processed and dry stems, ensuring you have what you need for your final mix. Let’s collaborate and see how we can bring your specific vision to life.
