About Our Homemade Sweets & Laddoos
Because I prepare every batch only after receiving your order, there is no stagnant stock in my kitchen. When you order these sweets, you get them made fresh, which gives me the flexibility to adjust sweetness levels or customize ingredients, like opting for date-sweetened laddoos, specifically to your preference.
I started South Spices Pickle Farm because I wanted to share the taste of 'amma cheti vanta'—the flavor of my mother's home cooking—with all of you. My approach to sweets is simple: use the ingredients I would feed my own family. This means you will never find white sugar, palm oil, or preservatives in my kitchen.
My Sweet-Making Process
Every order is treated as a fresh start. Whether it is a batch of soft, jaggery-coated Bellam Gavvalu or my signature Dry Fruit Laddoos, nothing is pre-stocked.
- Pure Ingredients: I use homemade ghee for binding my Sunnundalu, giving them that rich, authentic aroma. For my sweets, I rely on organic jaggery (bellam) instead of refined sugar.
- Health-Conscious Choices: My dry fruit laddoos are crafted with 90% premium nuts and seeds, bound together by dates. There is no sugar, no jaggery, and no artificial sweetener involved.
- Customization: Since I make these by hand in small batches, I can adjust spice or sweetness levels. If you have specific dietary needs, let me know, and I will see how I can accommodate them.
Shipping and Shelf Life
While I am based in Ravinuthala, I have had the privilege of shipping these treats to families across India, the USA, UK, Australia, and Norway. To ensure they arrive in perfect condition, I use heavy-gauge pouches and rigid containers. My sweets are optimized to last 15 to 20 days, so you can enjoy that homemade taste even if you are thousands of miles away.
