About Learning the Craft of Stitching
Before you ever touch expensive fabric, you will spend time stitching on paper. This isn't just an exercise—it’s how we ensure you master straight lines, tight curves, and machine tension control without wasting materials. Once your lines are clean and precise on paper, moving to actual garment construction becomes a natural, confident step for you.
We believe that stitching is the foundation of every designer’s career. At our Nelamangala studio, you won't just learn to operate a sewing machine; you will learn how to maintain it, thread it, and troubleshoot common tension issues so you are never stuck in the middle of a project.
Why We Start with Paper
It sounds simple, but learning to guide paper under a needle at consistent speeds is the best way to train your hands and eyes for fabric. By the time you start working with cottons and silks, your muscle memory is already established. This removes the fear of making mistakes on final garments and lets you focus entirely on your design.
What You Will Master
- Industrial Mechanics: We use Juki and Jack industrial machines, giving you the same hands-on experience found in professional production houses.
- Precision Cutting: We teach you to mark, cut, and assemble with industry-standard accuracy.
- Pattern-to-Product: You will move from flat pattern making to construction, ensuring you get that 'perfect fitting' result every time.
