Event Curation & Large-Scale Cultural Productions
I don’t just book performers; I direct cultural experiences that connect with your audience. Whether it is a corporate gala, festival procession, or large-scale stage show, I bring 25 years of research and a network of hundreds of folk artists to make your event meaningful.
The grand finale of 'Navarasa Ramayana,' a production involving 620 students. My work includes scripting, concept, choreography, and direction, bringing epic stories to life with large ensembles.
A dynamic Kamsale performance by the Karnataka Kamsale Janapada Kalavidaru, part of a cultural showcase I curated for the Ministry of Tourism. My extensive network allows me to bring the best traditional artists to any event.

Another vibrant street performance by my students for the Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava. Choreographing for public spaces requires adapting traditional forms to engage with a moving, diverse audience.
My students performing Dasara Padagalu during the Pallaki Utsava. My curation services include designing performances for religious and festive processions, maintaining the sanctity and energy of the occasion.
With Smt. Deepa Sridhar, who gave me my first school choreography assignment in 2004. My journey in large-scale productions began here, and I am grateful for the mentors who guided me.
Presenting a performative storytelling session, "Niseema - Beyond Borders," for the Mercedes Benz group. I offer curated cultural experiences for corporate clients, blending art with narrative to engage diverse audiences.
About this collection
Organizing a large-scale event is about more than just hiring dancers; it is about the narrative flow that keeps your audience engaged. I personally manage the script, musical cues, and performer coordination—like my work for the Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava or corporate showcases—to ensure the art feels grounded in tradition, rather than just being a generic performance piece.
When you put together a show, the difference between a spectacle and a story lies in the details. My approach to event direction is rooted in my research for 'Nrutya Beru' and my work with troupes like the Karnataka Kamsale Janapada Kalavidaru. I don't just supply artists; I take responsibility for the entire production.
What I Handle
- Concept & Scripting: Whether it is a corporate story for a group like Mercedes Benz or an epic production like 'Navarasa Ramayana' with 600+ students, I create a cohesive flow that keeps the audience hooked from start to finish.
- Logistics & Coordination: From managing makeup and costume designers to coordinating technical lighting cues, I ensure the backstage chaos doesn't reach the front stage. You get a production that runs on time and on rhythm.
- Authentic Curation: I refuse to use plastic, shiny polyester costumes or studio tracks. If you want a folk dance, you get original tuned instruments—animal hide drums, heavy metal cymbals—and attire that honors the specific region the dance comes from.
Why Research Matters
Many event planners struggle to communicate the 'why' behind a performance. Because I have spent 25 years living with these art forms, I can anchor your event with live narration. I explain the history and the context of the Kamsale or Dollu Kunitha being performed, turning a standard set into an educational and emotional experience. If you are looking for a show that leaves people thinking about the stories of our land, let us connect.
Sneha Kappanna
I see dance as a conversation with the universe, not just a job. For 25 years, I have been researching and curating Karnataka’s folk traditions, turning them into stories that resonate on the big stage, whether for a temple courtyard or a corporate boardroom.
