About Theatre, Storytelling & Workshops
My world is built on stories—sometimes I’m on stage, sometimes in a noisy circle with kids, other times leading a workshop. At the heart of it, I’m always learning and passing that along. Whether I’m telling a story or acting, every session is my way of connecting with people.
For Kids (My Kuttis!)
For children, I work with Ramya Srinidhi to create playful storytelling spaces. Under Katha Corner, we don’t just read stories - we act them out, sing, use puppets, and throw in a bit of chaos. Expect Indian folk tales performances, stories of Ganesha and Shiva, and even our own musical shows. Our monthly ‘Kathayana’ sessions at Kappanna Angala are open to all, and we also pop up at festivals and schools.
Every summer, I run Summer Sail, a children’s theatre workshop (ages 7+). We do theatre games for kids, character work, crafts, and it all ends in a proper stage show. The best bit? Watching the kids own the spotlight.
For Adults
I act too—like in ‘L.S.D’, a Kannada comedy where three women keep the laughs and satire rolling. Sometimes I tackle heavier roles, from historical to full-blown dance dramas. Keeps me on my toes.
Sharing What I’ve Learned
I love running movement and character workshops for older kids and fellow artists. I teach what I’ve picked up over the years, always hoping to spark that same excitement I feel.
Kappanna Angala, my little auditorium in JP Nagar, is where most of this magic happens—a home for stories, theatre, and new ideas.

My Story
Namaskara! Sneha here. My Ma and Seenanna shaped me, especially when Appa said, 'Be the best tea seller if you sell tea.' Dropped science, found dance. I’m a retrophile, obsessed with old art and temples. My work is my Gurus’ blessings, my folk dance book 'Nrutya Beru' is surreal. Dance is my prayer, my conversation with the universe. Single mom life gets lonely sometimes, but these stories and dances keep me alive and kicking.
My Work
Choreography, Acting & Storytelling - I mix choreography, acting, and storytelling - it’s never just one thing with me.
Women-Led Comedy Plays - I perform paisaa vasool (worth your money) comedy/satire plays with my friends. Real, raw, and hilarious.
Interactive Storytelling Sessions - I do lively storytelling for kids, like 'Thimmakka ajji kathegallu', making stories come alive.
Karnataka Folk Dance Research - I direct Bhramari Dance and dive deep into Karnataka folk dance roots. My book 'Nrutya Beru' came from this.
Summer Theatre Workshops for Kids - Vacation time means theatre workshops for kids - acting, fun, and friendships all rolled in.
