Strength & Conditioning for Real-World Self-Defense
I don't teach fancy gym stunts. I build raw power, speed, and endurance using tires, ladders, and pure sweat. If you have the josh, I will make you ready for anything.
Strength is not built with machines, it is forged with raw effort. Here, my students use unconventional training methods like tire flips and functional drills to build the explosive power needed for effective self-defense. This is pure, hard work.
I am proud to train champions. This is Soniya Singh, a 2-time national player, demonstrating the explosive power and agility that comes from dedicated conditioning drills. Medals are not found, they are earned with sweat and dedication.
We use resistance training to build explosive kicking power and stability. This drill shows a student executing a high side-kick against a resistance band, a method I use to develop strength and precision in our striking techniques.
Energy and agility are key. In my dojo, we use dynamic group exercises like ladder drills and hurdle jumps to improve footwork, speed, and coordination. Training is intense, but we push each other to be better.
Stamina is crucial in a real confrontation. We take our training outdoors for running and sprint drills, building the cardiovascular endurance needed to stay strong and focused under pressure.
The foundation of all movement is a strong core. My students practice a variety of floor exercises, including dynamic planks and rolling drills, to build fundamental strength, flexibility, and body control.
About Strength & Conditioning for Self-Defense
You will be working with heavy tires and outdoor sprints, not polished gym machines. This is because real-world threats happen on uneven ground, not a carpeted floor. Expect sore muscles and a stronger core, but remember, this training is strictly for those who are ready to put in the actual work.
I run my dojo in Sector 15, Noida, with a simple rule: no excuses. My conditioning philosophy focuses on functional movement that translates directly to self-protection.
Why This Training Works
- Functional Strength: We use tire flips and bodyweight circuits to build real-world power that carries over to strikes and grapples.
- Agility & Reflexes: We use ladder drills and hurdle jumps to ensure your feet are as fast as your hands. In a confrontation, your ability to move is just as important as your ability to hit.
- Endurance: We take our conditioning outdoors for sprints and high-volume calisthenics. You need to be able to stay calm and focused even when your body is tired.
What You Will Learn
My batch programs, whether standard or intensive, focus on more than just muscles. We work on:
- Escape Maneuvers: Practical techniques for wrist holds, collar grabs, and hair pulls.
- Stance Work: Maintaining balance under pressure.
- Controlled Sparring: We use full-contact kumite rounds with protective gear to simulate real danger. You learn to handle the adrenaline, not just the technique.
I have trained everyone from beginners to national-level athletes, and I apply the same discipline to everyone who walks through my door. If you want to get strong inside and out, show up and start.
