Interior Design Before and After Transformations
We believe every home has a story waiting to be told. See how we reshape layouts, rethink function, and layer personality into empty shells, turning builder-grade spaces into warm, lived-in sanctuaries.
Before: An empty guest room in the 'Cover me in Sunshine' project, with standard windows and wooden flooring, waiting for a touch of warmth and functionality.
After: The same guest room transformed with a cozy, custom-built window seat, creating a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the natural light. This simple addition completely changes the feel of the room.
Before: The master bedroom in 'Cover me in Sunshine' was a blank canvas with a plain wall and a standard door to the bathroom.
After: We transformed the master bedroom into an earthy retreat with a stunning green and rattan wardrobe, a custom study-cum-TV unit, and a cohesive design that feels grounded and serene.
Before: The living and dining area in 'Cover me in Sunshine' was a large, undefined space with standard builder finishes.
After: We introduced elegant arches, ceiling rafters, and a light beige texture paint to create a theatrical and harmonious living space with a modern cottage vibe.
Before: The plain wall in the 'Cover me in Sunshine' living room, which was designated for the television.
About this collection
When we start a renovation, we look for what is missing. We identify the potential in a blank wall or an awkward corner to improve your daily flow. We don't just change the look; we often rework the floor plan, adding elements like arched entryways or custom joinery to fix spatial issues. Whether it is reclaiming space under a staircase or designing a kitchen layout for actual cooking, our focus is on building a home that works for your routine, not just for a photograph.
Our Approach to Home Transformation
A home renovation is not a quick fix. It is a journey we take with you over 6 to 7 months, where we get to know your quirks, your family, and your lifestyle. We do not believe in superficial updates; we believe in structural and aesthetic shifts that make a house feel lived-in from day one.
Rethinking Layouts
In projects like 'Cover me in Sunshine', we looked at the living area and saw an opportunity to introduce texture and architecture. By moving beyond standard builder finishes, we added arched entryways and ceiling rafters to create distinct zones for social dining and quiet reading. We often remove non-load-bearing walls to open up compact layouts, or conversely, create new nooks for a sense of privacy.
The Details That Matter
- Functional Woodwork: In 'A Walk in the Clouds', we transformed a standard bedroom by adding a custom backlit round dresser that serves as both a vanity and a storage solution. It is about making every square inch serve a purpose.
- Materiality: We lean into warm, natural materials. Teak wood, rattan, and cane are our staples. We use these not just for aesthetics, but because they age beautifully and bring a tactile warmth to modern apartments.
- Solving Storage: Whether it is a kitchen island or a walk-in wardrobe with motion-sensor lighting, our custom cabinetry is built to hide the clutter of daily life, keeping the visuals clean and minimal.
Why We Document the Before and After
We share these transitions because we want you to see the reality of what we do. An empty apartment with concrete walls—like 'House of Kismish'—is not a limitation. It is a canvas. By the time we are finished, that same space becomes a home defined by its arched doorways, soft curves, and personal character. We are here to help you navigate this change, from the initial layout sketch to the final installation.
