Home Renovation Before & After Transformations

Real homes, real stories. See how I transform builder-grade spaces into personalized, lived-in homes through thoughtful planning and design.

**BEFORE:** The media room in the 'Breeze Home' was an empty space with a basic ceiling structure, a blank canvas for a complete transformation.

**AFTER:** The same room is now a multifunctional media room, guest space, and home office, complete with custom built-in storage, a cozy sectional, and a warm wood accent wall.

**BEFORE:** Another view of the room before renovation, showing a generic wardrobe and empty walls.

**AFTER:** The finished space feels so much larger and more functional, with a clear zone for relaxing and another for working, all tied together by a cohesive design.

**BEFORE:** The original galley kitchen in the 'Breeze Home' was dated, with dark wood-look cabinets and poor lighting.

**AFTER:** The renovated kitchen is bright and airy, with light blue custom cabinetry, beautiful patterned floor tiles, and a much more functional layout that opens into a utility area.

**BEFORE:** The utility end of the kitchen was dark and cramped, with a bulky water purifier and mismatched cabinets.

About this collection

Renovating a home is often about working with the bones of a place. In these projects, I focused on changing how light enters a room and swapping builder-grade fixtures for custom pieces, proving you do not always need a full structural overhaul to get a dramatic result.

Every home has a story waiting to be told. Whether it is a dark galley kitchen that feels cramped or a basic guest bathroom lacking personality, the goal of these transformations is always the same: to make the space function better while reflecting the people who live there.

Working With What You Have

Most of my renovation work focuses on identifying what stays and what goes. In the Breeze Home kitchen, for instance, we did not perform massive structural changes. Instead, we removed the door separating the utility area and replaced the window to invite more natural light. By adding open shelving and swapping standard cabinetry for light blue custom units, the entire room feels larger, brighter, and much more intentional.

The Details That Matter

Transformation is in the specifics. I love introducing elements like patterned cement tiles, black iron accents, or custom vanities to replace generic builder-standard finishes. These small changes stop the eye and add character. In the moody bathroom project featured here, the combination of stacked black subway tiles and patterned floor tiles created a dramatic shift from the original plain, beige aesthetic.

My Design Philosophy

My approach is to mix styles to create a space that feels collected over time. You will see influences of Modern Spanish design, such as arches and warmth, blended with mid-century lines and eclectic touches. It is about creating a retreat that is beautiful to look at but, more importantly, a joy to live in every single day. If you are ready to stop living in a space that does not fit your needs, let us talk about how we can start your own renovation journey.
