About Milestone & Sitter Sessions
Sitter sessions work best when your baby can sit up comfortably but isn't crawling away just yet, typically between 6 to 9 months. I prefer to keep these setups clean and minimal, using props that highlight rather than hide your little one. Whether they are feeling curious, grumpy, or full of giggles, those raw expressions are exactly what we want to document.
Capturing the Milestones
Photography is about more than just a nice frame. It is about freezing time when your baby is changing every single day. My milestone sessions are designed to be low-stress for both you and your baby, focusing on comfort and personality rather than complicated, heavy setups.
The Sitter Phase (6 to 9 Months)
This is one of my favorite stages to shoot. When a baby starts sitting up, their personality really begins to shine through. I use soft backdrops and simple accessories to ensure the focus remains entirely on their reactions. If they want to reach out for a prop or just stare at the camera with curiosity, we go with the flow.
Cake Smash & Splash Sessions (12 Months)
Turning one is a big deal! For these sessions, we start with classic portraits to capture their outfit and smiles, then move to the cake smash setup. It is always messy, usually loud, and undeniably fun.
After the cake smash, we move to the splash session. I offer:
- Milk baths with delicate flower petals.
- Fruit baths using fresh citrus slices.
- Bubble baths for a classic, playful look.
Safety and Logistics
Whether we are in my home studio in Kithiganur or at an outdoor location in Bengaluru, your baby's comfort comes first. We build in plenty of time for feeding, burping, and diaper changes. I never rush a shoot because a happy, relaxed baby is the only way to get genuine expressions. If you have a specific theme or color palette in mind, let me know, and we can plan it together.
