When I paint sports gear, I don't just slap a logo on the side. For my cricket commissions, I actually manipulate the Nike swoosh to mimic the red seam of a leather ball, so the shoe itself becomes part of the game. It’s those structural adjustments that make the art feel like it belongs on the sneaker, rather than just sitting on top of it.
Whether you are a die-hard Manchester United fan or obsessed with NFL legends like Tom Brady, my goal is to make your footwear scream loyalty. I approach these projects with the same intensity as the sport itself. For my football pieces, I focus on gradients and logos, layering paint until the design pops, while my cricket commissions often feature doodle-style narratives that include match dates, jersey numbers, and pivotal game moments.
I handle everything from the sourcing of fresh base sneakers like Air Force 1s or Jordan Golf Mules to the final seal. I know you want to actually wear these, not just display them in a glass case. That is why I use Angelus leather paints that flex with the shoe, and finish every pair with two coats of industrial-grade Liquid Kicks sealant. This makes them waterproof and scratch-resistant, so you can head to the stadium or the pitch without worrying about ruining your kicks.
