About Our Honbu Dojo: The Training Ground
We have not just built a training hall, we have built a space that mirrors our roots in Okinawa. The mat area is designed for safe, full-contact kata and weapons practice, while our racks are stocked with traditional Bo and Tonfa for every student. This is a working space for serious practice, where every belt level, from white to black, focuses on the same disciplined syllabus.
Our Honbu Dojo in Bangalore is more than a gym. It is the center of the OSK Federation of India and the home of our authentic Shorinkan syllabus. When you step onto these mats, you are training in an environment specifically designed to replicate the Okinawan way. We maintain this space to ensure that the martial arts culture we bring back from Japan each year is accessible to every student here.
The Training Environment
We provide everything you need to start. Our communal weapon racks are always fully stocked with Bo staffs, Tonfas, and practice Sai. You do not need to buy your own gear to begin. We train on professional-grade EVA interlocking mats, which provide the shock absorption necessary for high-intensity movement and safe sparring. We also maintain a dedicated space for traditional ceremonies like Ayudha Pooja, which grounds our modern practice in the history of the art.

Every student here practices under the same rules that we bring back from Nakazato Hanshi's masters in Okinawa. I started with 14 students in Bannerghatta, but my commitment to the traditional Okinawan syllabus remains unchanged. When you train at our Honbu dojo, you are not just joining a class. You are stepping into a lineage that I bring back directly from Okinawa every year.
